Chapter 235: Sister

The auction ended successfully, and we returned home carrying a large amount of platinum coins.

Rozzo’s reward came to four platinum coins, and being able to properly pay him made Sheila happy as well.

He offered to give me the remaining thirty-six platinum coins, but I politely declined.

However, since Sheila also didn’t want to take them, we decided to use the coins for facility investment.

With thirty-six platinum coins, we could probably build several new structures—and create things that would be useful for Sheila.

That said… I thought a large bathhouse for women should probably come first.

The men’s bathhouse hadn’t needed special security measures, so it had been relatively inexpensive to build. But for the women’s bathhouse, proper security measures were required, which had delayed construction.

Moreover, the women’s reactions so far had been lukewarm, so nothing had been done—yet I still believed it was necessary and worth the investment.

First, I needed to consult Sheila.

Then I could talk to Rozzo and Sid and get to work properly.

While I was thinking this, a warp hole suddenly began to glow black.

It was installed in a relatively hidden spot, but the brilliance was so intense that even from a distance, it was immediately noticeable.

I wasn’t sure if it was good or bad, but I decided to go and greet whoever was arriving.

Running toward the warp hole, I found Miragros standing there with a large bag…and a suspicious-looking unfamiliar woman.

“Good morning, Miragros. Um…who is this person with you?”

“Oh, good morning. This is my sister. She said she wanted to come along, so I brought her.”

“P-pleased to meet you. I’m Faustina. My sister Miragros and brother Zepaul are in your care.”

The one who bowed politely was Miragros’ older sister, Faustina.

Unlike Zepaul, she was friendly from the start, which was reassuring.

She looked like a brighter, more cheerful version of Miragros and was very beautiful.

Zepaul had a scary appearance, but it seemed that both sisters resembled their mother, while Zepaul perhaps took after their father.

“Thank you for the kind introduction. I’m Sato. Please, call me simply.”

“Mm. Enough of the formalities. I brought ores—take a look.”

“The ores are in that bag you’re carrying? Let me see right away.”

“We brought every type of ore mined in our town. I hope you find some that you like…”

“That’s good. I’d also like to exchange ores for crop seeds, so it would be helpful if there are good ores. By the way, how are the crops I gave you growing?”

Faustina spoke politely, but what I really cared about was the growth of the sweet potatoes.

Even if she brought good ores, the trade couldn’t succeed unless the sweet potatoes were growing properly.

Well, even more than profit, my main hope was that they would grow in the demon lord’s territory, which was struggling with food shortages.

“They’re growing well, I think. The fertilizer Sato gave us and the seedlings—both are amazing.”

“Yes. As Miragros said, this land had never grown anything before, but now the crops are thriving. Thank you so much.”

“I haven’t done anything yet that deserves thanks! Besides, this isn’t free—we intend to exchange the ores or magic stones for them.”

That’s right. This wasn’t pure charity; we were aiming to gain some benefit too.

We weren’t in a position to be thanked.

“Even so, this really helps. Thank you, Sato.”

“Yes. From our side, we hope there are ores that meet your standards, so we can return even a little favor.”

“I hope so too… but I’m not an expert, so I’ll call someone who knows more.”

After guiding them to the villa and serving tea, I hurried to see Rozzo.

After all, I always relied on Rozzo, and this time there were things I couldn’t handle without his help.

“Rozzo, do you have a moment?”

“Hey, Sato! Thanks again for selling last time! Getting four platinum coins unexpectedly made me ecstatic!”

“That’s great. Actually, I have an urgent favor to ask—would that be okay?”

“Of course! Do you want me to make something?”

“No. Miragros brought ores, and I’d like you to appraise them. We’re planning to exchange ores for crop seeds going forward.”

“Oh, that’s my kind of job! Sure, no problem!”

Rozzo agreed immediately.

His quick, reliable response always helps me.

From here, it was up to Rozzo. All I could do was hope that the ores were good.

Once Rozzo finished preparations, we returned to the villa where Faustina and Miragros were waiting.
