Chapter 15: Just Before Fainting

“I don’t know… I was fighting these guys. Why the hell are you interrupting?”

“These two are already heavily injured. Do you have a reason to continue fighting?”

“Of course I do, are you stupid? They were the ones who proposed this to me in the first place.”

The goddess got visibly angry at being called stupid.

However, she couldn’t react until she heard the details of the proposal.

“If I win this match, they said they’d treat me to a meal at a delicious restaurant in the capital. Since they challenged me to this match, it wouldn’t be strange for me to be the only one gaining an advantage. They probably thought they could beat me as much as they wanted in the match.”

“…So, they refused that proposal, is that correct?”

“That’s right. Since they turned down my proposal, it wouldn’t sit well with me if I didn’t repay the insult properly. Or is there something else? Are they insisting on accepting all their demands while rejecting only mine? Well, it’s truly a selfish and absurd world, where you can’t always prevail with sound reasoning.”

In the world of nobility, one cannot always prevail with logic alone.

However, what Ishud is saying is not entirely wrong for the time being.

The content can be considered reasonable.

“By the way, who the heck are you? By what right did you intervene in the match?”

“I am Christille Albaresia, the student council president of this academy.”

“Student council president, huh… Hmm? Albaresia, Albaresia… That’s a family name I’ve heard somewhere.”

It would be strange for someone in the noble world not to have heard the name Albaresia.

Christille is the second daughter of the Albaresia Ducal House.

Excluding the royal family, she holds one of the highest titles among the nobility as the second daughter of a house.

Naturally, possessing beauty akin to a goddess and strength comparable to a war god, she is undoubtedly a super celebrity in the noble world.

In response to Ishud, who confidently claimed not to remember the name Albaresia, the students, who had been frozen in place, gradually began uttering words of mockery.

“……Ahhhhhh!!! I remember now! Certainly, my old man mentioned that the current head of that house is someone who can hold their own in a fight!”

“!!!”

““““?????””””

In response to this statement, veins bulged again on the forehead of Christille, the current head of the Albaresia Ducal House, and the spectators who sensed the wrath of the student council president turned pale all at once.

“So, you’re the daughter of the person my father was unusually praising. I see, you must have a decent aura yourself.”

Upon hearing Ishud’s words, several students nearly fainted.

Firstly, the current head of the Albaresia Ducal House is a formidable figure, having served as the former captain of the kingdom’s knights.

Additionally, Christille, despite being a woman, is considered a prodigy approaching the realm of diamonds, still in an unfinished state.

In response to both of them, Ishud expressed his thoughts with a casual tone.

Upon hearing these overly frightening words… even though thry hadn’t uttered them themselves, the anticipation of what might happen in the future made not only the students but also the teachers turn pale.

“But still, the student council president… I mean, from my perspective, so what? The discomfort I’ve felt hasn’t been resolved yet.”

“…In other words, if you could eat a meal at a high-class restaurant in the royal capital, your discomfort would disappear, right?”

“Well, something like that, I guess.”

If anything, I still wanted to punch and kick a few more guys, but I managed to have some fun doing it.

Moreover, the idea of enjoying delicious food wasn’t a bad proposition.

“Well then, I’ll treat you. Would that be alright?”

““““Wha… What!?””””

Once again, a tremendous shock ran through the students.

From some individuals… despite the country having a representative religion, Christille was referred to as a goddess.

From those who couldn’t help but imagine the scene of a goddess dining with a barbarian from the frontier and outside the academy, screams and shouts could be heard.

“Well, if you put it that way, I guess I can’t refuse…Hey, Gulf!!!! This senpai is treating us to a delicious meal!!!! Let’s go!!!!”

“Huh!?”

“What!?!?”

Christille, who had expected it to be just for one person, and Gulf, who was suddenly called by name, couldn’t hide their surprise.

Regarding Gulf, who had almost fainted just a moment ago when his name was called, he now seemed on the verge of fainting again after being hit with a sudden metaphorical napalm bomb.

“That’s right, you’re the daughter of the duke’s house, right? If that’s the case, adding one more person shouldn’t be a problem.”

“Well… yes, I suppose.”

“Alright, then wait in front of the main gate. I’ll be there right away after putting my stuff in the dorm.”

And so, the match held on the first day of the entrance ceremony ended in an unexpectedly unexpected turn of events, leaving a great impact on the students.

“So, for you, it’s like you got to punch those two, eat delicious food, and your wishes came true?”

After the match completely concluded, Byron, at Ishud’s request, accompanied them to the dormitory of the two.

“Well, I was planning to keep punching and kicking until that student council president showed up, almost on the verge of dying. But, you know, being the daughter of a duke probably means she gets a nice allowance. When I thought about getting to eat really delicious food, I figured it was worth it.”

“You’re quite greedy… So, are you going to continue with that attitude when facing the student council president in the future?”

“In other words, you’re asking if I can win against that student council president in a fight?”

Byron nodded lightly as the correct answer.

If there were noble ladies around, just that act alone would have likely earned cheers and admiration.

“…Probably, that student council president hasn’t undergone three job changes, right?”

“As far as I know, that seems to be the case.”

“Haha, yeah, I figured as much. Well then, it should be totally fine. I think she seems like a pretty enjoyable person, but still, compared to my older brothers and sisters, it feels a bit mild, or lacking a certain spice, you know?”

“I see… From my perspective, I’d prefer if you didn’t clash with the student council if possible.”

“That student council president senpai seems like she could understand through a conversation, but it depends on how mature the others in the group are.”

Byron felt like saying, “Are you mature then?” but in the first place, Ishudo had no intention of getting involved with the student council.

When considering that, Ishud might be the more mature one… or so Byron thought.
