Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 5: To the guild

After allocating skill points, I left my room in the inn.

Despite having only slept for around 1 to 2 hours a day for the past three days, I surprisingly didn’t feel tired. I was accustomed to hard work from my salaryman days, and, above all, having a young body makes a significant difference.

With this body, I can work endlessly.

Grateful for the young body at 18, I once again realize that I am, indeed, a workaholic.

Whether it’s a game or a job, once I get into something, I tend to get deeply involved, even if it means cutting down on sleep—this has been my habit, for better or worse.

Then, at the entrance of the inn, the landlady called out to me with an exasperated expression.

“Oh, you finally emerged. You’re the first person to lock themselves in the inn after the Blessing Ceremony.”

“Is that so?”

“Well, yeah. Normally, people can’t wait to test their skills and head into the forest to defeat monsters.”

Once you allocate skill points, there’s no turning back. From my perspective, going into the forest to hunt monsters right after haphazardly assigning points to some random skills seemed incredibly foolish.

“By the way, could you tell me where the weapon shop is?”

I asked the landlady for directions and headed straight to the weapon shop.

As soon as I entered the blacksmith’s shop, I handed over the money and placed an order for arrows and a second sword within the budget.

“Hey, hey, what do you need all those weapons for?”

The shopkeeper asked with a displeased expression.

Given that archery skills were treated as an outlier class, it seemed my way of buying weapons raised some questions.

It indicated that individuals allocating skill points to both archery and swordsmanship were a rarity.

“Of course, I’ll use them in battles.”

I replied casually, completed the payment, received the weapons, and left the shop. I then headed straight to the guild.

“I’d like to register as an adventurer.”

I informed the receptionist, and she kindly processed my registration.

“Please fill out this form.”

I quickly filled out the form. It was the first time I wrote characters since my reincarnation, but thanks to my memories as Haruto Springspring, I could read and write in this world’s language effortlessly.

“Here you go.”

“Thank you for filling it out.”

The receptionist glanced over the form.

“Mr. Haruto Springsteen, right?”

As soon as the receptionist mentioned my name, the atmosphere inside the guild suddenly became restless.

“Hey, did you hear?”

“That guy’s the heir of the Springspring family.”

“He was supposed to be the heir… right? Got expelled after drawing the outlier class.”

“That’s hilarious.”

“There are a lot of high-class failures this year. Even the princess is rumored to be an outlier class.”

“The princess is just a rumor, but that guy is undoubtedly an outlier class.”

I was surprised to find that people around me recognized me. While I anticipated that rumors might spread eventually, I didn’t expect the news to circulate so quickly.

Furthermore, the adventurers mocked me as they looked at my appearance.

“And look at this, trying to look cool with two swords.”

“Hey, pretending to be an advanced swordsman?”

“This is too much.”

Certainly, ≪Dual Wielding≫ is generally recognized as an advanced skill. If someone who had just undergone the aptitude ceremony was seen wielding two swords, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for them to be treated as a cosplayer.

To reset the unpleasant remarks from the rude adventurers, the receptionist cleared her throat and began explaining.

“Now, first, you’ll participate in a tutorial quest.”

“And that determines the adventurer rank, right?”

“Exactly. Usually, you start from F-rank, but if your abilities are recognized, you might even start directly from E-rank.”

I had set a goal to achieve A-rank within a year.

However, promotion exams could only be taken once a year. In other words, under normal circumstances, you could only climb one rank per year.

So, to reach A-rank within a year, I needed to aim for several ≪Special Promotions≫. This tutorial quest presented an excellent opportunity.

“The tutorial will be accompanied by a guild-affiliated instructor. We’ll depart in 30 minutes, so please prepare.”

“Understood.”

After finishing the explanation, I took a breath and turned on my heel.

Then, I heard the sound of someone energetically standing up from the side.

“Hey, do I really have to take the tutorial with a failure with an outlier skill!”

Such an intentionally loud voice reached my ears. When I looked to the right, I saw a red-haired girl who seemed to be the one behind the voice.

Determined eyes. Numerous flashy piercings adorned both ears.

Looking a bit lower, there was a clearly defined cleavage, and further down, below the short skirt, thighs were exposed. The exposed skin was adorned with several tattoos.

She exuded the unmistakable aura of a delinquent girl.

In my previous life, I wouldn’t have encountered people like her, but it seems things are different in this world.

“Are you talking to me?”

“Is there anyone else here dumb enough to be blessed with an outlier skill and expelled from their noble house?”

I was clearly being provoked.

“I won’t drag you down, so relax.”

As I said that in a low voice, the girl visibly tensed.

“If there’s a weakling in the party, my life won’t be worth much. If you’re joining the tutorial, prove you’re not dead weight.”

In my mind, I thought I shouldn’t bother with idiots. However, at the same time, I could easily anticipate that if I let it be, she would keep bothering me.

To assess the situation, I silently activated ≪Skill Analysis≫.

Looking at her skills, it was evident that she had both sword skills and magic.

I could predict that her class might be something like ≪Magic Swordsman≫.

If that’s the case, ≪Magic Swordsman≫ types are considered relatively high-ranking classes in this world. Understanding that, I could see why she was getting carried away.

However, in reality, when analyzing her skills, the techniques she knew were quite ordinary.

Considering the data, there was no reason for me to lose.

With that judgment, I decided to take her up on the challenge.

“Sure. Let’s have a fight.”
