Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 15. Let’s defeat the Rock Turtle and have lunch

A really angry looking rock turtle is coming at me. There’s still some distance to go.

For now, I purchase ten yen worth of salt and pepper and sprinkle it around its face.

The fluffy Rock Turtle’s face is suddenly covered in a smoky haze.

I hear a sound like a throaty purring sound, followed by a squeal, and then the thumping got louder as if it put even more energy into stomping its feet on the ground.

Huh, do turtles make sounds?

Is this actually working? I look for my Tabasco purchase history, but there’s none. Maybe I never bought it before. I do have some chili powder, though it’s a small bottle, but I decide to buy it anyway! Buy!

Then a jar of chili peppers appeared in front of Rock Turtle’s eyes.

Ah! I see—the reason it was only a small amount before is that I used to put it out for a small amount until now, but if I want to put out a lot, I can buy it in 1 piece, so it will appeared as a whole package. I messed up.

That means the wheat flour dust explosion can only be about 1.99 kg max. I wish I had bought a 20 kg bag of flour when I got into bread-making.

And, the only other thing I can think of is…

I’ve been doing a lot of experiments so I don’t have much money left.

For now, I pour water on it, sprinkle some salt, brought out gasoline, and generate electricity.

Kaboooom!!

It’s a decent explosion, and there’s a lot of black smoke.

Did it work!?

I thought so, but the Rock Turtle’s shell is so thick that it seems to have withstood it. There was some damage, but it hasn’t fallen yet.

No, this is impossible. I’ve already used up all my money.

But, given it’s a monster, maybe I can “seal” it somehow.

I focus my mind and activate the “Seal” skill.

I realize through trying that this is a probability skill. When the skill level is low, the chance of success is also low, making it hard to activate. And even if it does work, it takes a long time to actually seal. Plus, it can’t be used repeatedly; there’s a cool down period before it can be used again.

Of course, I fail again. I wait and try again, but it fails once more.

Hold on. I can choose the target for the seal, right?

Maybe if I narrow down the sealing target, it could work.

 Seal “Bite”.

Oh, it worked. But, honestly, it doesn’t solve the core problem.

I raise my hand and wave it dismissively. I give up.

“I’ve exhausted my abilities.”

When I declare that, Judo-san, who had been observing, says,

“The blinding attack was effective, and it was quite a good attack.”

He pulls out his sword and approaches the Rock Turtle, then swiftly cuts off its head with a single swing. His quick reflexes and jumping ability are amazing.

He’s so strong it’s shocking.

I relied on him because I thought he seemed dependable, but even so, just one swing…

Judo-san grabs the fallen Rock Turtle and stuffs it into his bag, and the massive creature disappears.

So, that’s a magic bag.

I’ve learned another thing about this world. If there’s a magic bag, then perhaps I don’t need to worry too much about my storage ability when taking things out of my bag.

Ah, but my storage is a bit of an interesting one.

I’ve run out of money to spend today, so I can’t conduct any more experiments or tests.

Since it was already a good time, we decide to have a light lunch before heading back.

Jude-san pulls out what looks like a portable meal of hard bread and dried meat, “Want some.”

I offer him a snack pack I secretly unwrapped, saying,

“please try this.”

He looks at it curiously.

“What is this?”

“It’s bread with filling inside.”

“Isn’t it a little too white for bread?”

Ah, maybe because they mainly use whole wheat flour, they don’t see a lot of white breads. Or maybe they don’t have bread slices. It looks completely white because I only used the soft, white part of bread.

“That’s just how this bread is,”

When I insisted, he hesitantly nods and takes a bite.

“It’s soft, sweet, and delicious. The filling is good too.”

Once he takes a bite, he gobbles up the rest quickly. He seems to really like it. I’m glad.

It’s probably not enough, so I offer him the tuna mayo next, then the egg, and I nibble on some peanut butter myself.

I like peanut butter the most.

While munching, I overhear him mutter,

“If it’s like this, maybe even my picky sister might find it tasty.”

It slipped out naturally.

“you have a sister. She must be really cute,”

“Yeah, she’s adorable,”

Judging from the way he says it, he must be quite the siscon. His kind eyes make me think he must be a good older brother.

From what I heard, although she’s very cute,  she’s been a picky eater and often sick since she was little, often bedridden.

She only eats bread that’s light in color and soft, and this overly white bread reminded him of that.

“Where can I buy this?”

That’s a tough question.

I’m at a loss, but I’ve shown him quite a bit already, and honestly, there’s so little information about this world that I don’t think I can survive much longer without more.

I think Judo-san is a good person. I’m a bit skeptical about whether I have good judgment, but I have a fairly favorable impression of him, enough to think that even if he deceived me in the short run, it wouldn’t be a big deal.

“Actually, I produced this using my ability. Can I ask for your opinion?”

I decided to explain the situation honestly and ask for his help.
