Viola and Primula’s warm smiles made Rest feel at peace.

Gathering ingredients had been far more difficult than expected.

Surely, this would make for a party that could satisfy anyone.
“Ah, that’s right… Add Celestine and Urla to the guest list.”
“Celestine was already on it. You want to invite Lady Urla Lavender too?”

Rest trailed off.
He hesitated, wondering if he should tell them about what happened in the Lavender Marquisate.
(Well… since the marquis himself said he’d bring it up to His Majesty, the King, it’ll be exposed soon anyway…)

With a faint sense of guilt, Rest explained his conversation with Urla.
When he mentioned that the Lavender Marquis hinted at marrying Urla off to him, both Viola and Primula showed mild surprise.

(Not that it’s unpleasant. It’s more trouble than not, but… knowing they genuinely care for me is something I’m grateful for. Still, once politics gets involved, things get messy…)

At the sisters’ words, Rest silently nodded.

Holy crap, I was all set to be pissed off at Rest for not telling Viola and Primula about what happened at the Lavender Estate like every other J-Protag. I’m still mildly upset that he obviously would have hidden it from them if it hadn’t already been established that Urla would bring it up to the King, but at least he told them with his own mouth without having to sit seiza.
