Chapter 504: Traveling Between Dungeons

The first floor of the dungeon *Babylon* looked exactly as it had the last time we came.

Skeletons and ghosts occasionally appeared.

So, just like last time, Taichi, serving as the deputy captain of the escort, took care of defeating the monsters without requiring Tauro and the others to lift a finger. But then suddenly, Tauro noticed something.

“Taichi-san, could it be that the sword you’re holding in your hand was made by…?”

Even without using his *True eye*, Tauro somehow recognized the sword.

“Oh, you noticed? After your dagger turned out so well last time, Tauro-kun, I took a long vacation and went to the renowned craftsman Angus in the city of Saishi to ask him to make me a sword. I managed to get him to make me a sword just in time, before he became famous as a blacksmith and got really busy. Thanks for letting me know back then. Because of that, I got this fine sword at a reasonable price.”

Taichi said proudly as he put the sword back into its sheath after defeating the monsters.

“When I tried to commission one after seeing Taichi’s sword, there were already too many clients, so it wasn’t easy to put in a request anymore,” Captain Tsuyoku joined in the conversation with a wry smile.

“I remember when I visited Angus’s workshop a while ago, he had a lot of apprentices,” Tauro said, recalling his trip to Saishi.

“Exactly. Now it’s almost impossible to get a weapon made by the master himself. Even if you can get one, it’s made in the Angus blacksmith workshop. Those were forged by his apprentices —still good, but not the same as anything he made himself. Even when I requested an extra dagger after he became popular, I could only get one made in the workshop. But it turned out to be a good piece.” Taichi explained as he pulled out the dagger that was tucked into his waist to show them.

Tauro uses his “True eye” to examine the dagger Taichi is holding and indeed it says “Made by Angus Blacksmith Workshop.”

However, when I looked into its value in detail, I found that its value was still surprisingly high.

“It’s a fine piece. Seems it was made by an apprentice, but it’s certainly a high-quality weapon,” Tauro assessed it that way.

“Right? As one of my Warrior abilities, I can evaluate weapons to a certain extent, so I can tell a good item when I see them. I like this one,” Taichi said with an untroubled smile.

As they continued, they reached a familiar spot: the stairs leading to the lower floor and the passageway next to it that leads to the “rest room.”

“Here we are. So, what do you want to do in this room?” Tsuyoku asked as he walked alongside Tauro.

Entering the room, Tauro said,

“Captain Tsuyoku, please wait here for a moment. I want to run a little experiment and confirm something.”

He replied, and without using Ragune’s “Dimensional Corridor”, he disappeared from the spot using “Spatial Transfer”.

“!?”

Captain Tsuyoku and his deputy captain Taichi were shocked, as if remembering the last time Tauro and Aeris disappeared for several hours, and looked towards Aeris and the others who were left behind.

“he’ll be back soon, I think. So please wait a moment,” Aeris said with a wry smile, addressing Captain Tsuyoku.

Tauro returned shortly after.

Once again, His sudden, unannounced appearance startled Tsuyoku, Taichi, and the knights who were guarding him, but Tauro paid no attention to it and excitedly told Aeris and the others, “It was a success!”

“what is a success?” Captain Tsuyoku asked, curious about the mystery of Tauro’s disappearance and return.

“Just between you and me, I have the ability to easily travel between rooms called ‘rest rooms’ in dungeons. So I tried to see if I could travel between the ‘rest rooms’ of other dungeons I’ve been to. The result was a success.”

“What!? Moving between dungeons!? No, wait… your ability? And you’ve actually been to other dungeons in the country?” Captain Tsuyoku is full of questions about Tauro, who surprises him time and time again

“For now, just know that I can move around using my ability. Soon, I’ll let various people use my authority to come and go here,” Tauro explained.

It seems that Tauro intends to bring the dragon people from that dungeon, that is, the beginner dungeon in the dragon people’s village.

But, if that happens, Tauro’s presence will be essential again to travel back and forth.

Aeris and the others immediately understood this.

“Tauro, does that mean from now on, we’ll be focusing our efforts on conquering ‘Babylon’?” Aeris asked, a reasonable question.

If that were the case, she wished he had consulted his friends first. Even if everyone would follow Tauro’s judgment, a simple heads-up would have been appreciated.

“No, I’ll prepare a method that doesn’t need me, so people over there can move on their own,” Tauro replied.

“‘A means for them to move on their own’?”

Aeris and the others were taken by surprise and tilted their heads.

Up to now, their only way of moving was Tauro’s ‘Spatial Transfer’ or Ragune’s ‘Dimensional Corridor’. There had been nothing else, and it’s unlikely that there are many people who have such a convenient ability.

“This,” Tauro said, pulling a familiar magical stone from his magic storage.

“That’s the magical stone from the two-headed holy beast that guarded the dungeon over there, right?” Aeris immediately recalled and connected it to the research Tauro had stayed up all night doing.

“it’s a special magic stone that has both Light (Holy) and Dark attributes… oh? It’s already been processed?” She noticed that the special magic stone in Tauro’s hand had already been specially modified.

“Yes. When I analyzed my *Spatial Transfer* with my other ability, *Magic Manipulation (Extreme)*, I found the Light (Holy) and Dark magic balanced perfectly. So I thought, maybe I can use a special magic circle to process this stone to get the same output,” Tauro explained.

“So that means… this magic stone allows you to use ‘Spatial Transfer’!?” Aeris was the first to realize this and spoke in surprise.

“Exactly! But the amount of magic needed is enormous. So much, that only someone with the magical power at the same level as that of the dragon race over there can activate it,” Tauro said, revealing both a major limitation and a groundbreaking invention.
