Chapter 350: Three Visitors

Tauro and his team, the “Black Golden Wings” were about to finish their subjugation of the Flaming Crab in the city of Caxart.

This quest, which was made a free quest due to a lack of adventurers, Tauro and his team have re-educated the local E rank band adventurers to the point where they can clear it, and the D-rank adventurers who had been requested from other adventurers’ guilds were finally beginning to gather in the city of Caxart.

If this is the way things are going, the day of annihilation of the flaming crabs in the salt lake will soon be near.

Tauro was surprised that the path was paved sooner than he had expected, but if that were to happen, he would have to call Zion back from the village of the dragon people sooner rather than later.

It had only been a week since he had sent him back to the village, so he did not know how much experience he had gained, but he had promised Zion that he would call him when they were finished, so he should go.

As Tauro was thinking this, a group of people appeared in a room of the inn asking to see him.

“Tauro-dono, it’s been a while!”

Standing on the other side of the door were three members of the dragon tribe: Malak, a tall, handsome man with red hair and golden eyes; Zumei, a small,  handsome boyish-looking with blond hair and golden eyes; and Reeva, a slender, beautiful woman with long blue hair in a ponytail and golden eyes.

“Ah! How are the three of you doing? —If you’re here, does that mean that the assassin guild in the capital has been eradicated?”

Tauro had previously received a report that the dragon tribe was once again working to annihilate the assassin guild, so he assumed that this was the case.

“That’s true, but there were actually some things I didn’t report to Tauro-dono because I didn’t think they were that important…”

The red-haired Malak answered apologetically on behalf of the three of them.

“?”

Tauro couldn’t predict what he was talking about, and a question mark popped into his head, but he didn’t want to stand around and talk, so he asked ahnk and Ragune to join him in the first floor dining room to hear what they had to say.

“So, what’s the report?”

Once again, Tauro urged the red-haired Malak to speak up.

“First of all, I would like to report on the Assassin guilds in the Royal Capital. After more than half a year, we were finally able to investigate the bases of the assassination guilds in the Royal Capital, and a week ago, we, the elite of the dragon tribe, attacked and destroyed all the bases at the same time.”

“Oh! Isn’t that a good report! Now the leader can feel at ease.”

Ankh lightly tapped Tauro on the shoulder.

“At that time, there was someone we let go so that we could investigate the base within the capital…”

“Oh, you mean the lowly guy with special skills you mentioned before, right?”

“…Yes. By letting that person swim, we were finally able to discover the largest base in the capital. I am ashamed to say, but there was a person from a different bloodline of the dragon race than us. And a battle ensued. We’ll talk about that later… It appears that the little fellow who we had swimming around was Tauro-dono’s former father.”

“““Eh?”””

Tauro, Ankh, and Ragune were simply astonished to hear of his existence, which they had forgotten about since the operation to annihilate the Assassination Guild branch in the Daredar territory.

“…I see. Does that mean that his death has confirmed this…?”

Tauro, who had completely forgotten about his existence, expressed his thoughts without any emotion at the disappointing end.

“No, that’s the thing. ……, he is still swimming and has escaped to Viscount Bormen’s territory, which is next door to this Count Graunewald’s territory. We were not sure whether we should capture him or not, but since we had found out that the assassination guild’s headquarters was in Viscount Bowmen’s territory, we decided to let him swim to see where in that territory the headquarters was located. ──It seems like it would have been better to capture him after all…”

Seeing Tauro’s reaction, the red-haired Malak seemed to regret his decision.

“You see, I knew it! I told Malak that it would be better for Tauro-dono if I killed that lousy man, too.”

Zumei, a beautiful blonde-haired boyish man, entered the conversation.

“Zumei, quiet. Malak is in the middle of his report.”

Reeva, a beautiful blue-haired woman, warns Zumei.

“Yes”

At attention, the blonde Zumei grew quiet.

“…… So, Tauro-dono’s former father is currently in Viscount Bowmen’s territory. We have been tracking him and hunting the remnants of the assassination guild. ─ ─ As I reported a little while ago, it seems that some of the leaders of the assassination guild are of dragon race bloodline, so the battle was a little unexpected, but so far it is within the scope of what we expected.”

Malak said and finished his report.

“I don’t care about my former father, but… What is the lineage of the dragon people doing on the side of the assassin guild…?”

Tauro asked for more details about the eradication of the assassination guild, which seemed to be not a simple matter.

“…… We, the Dragon People, have lived  unitedly with dungeon conquest as our clan’s long-held desire. However, I am ashamed to say that a small percentage of people committed crimes and fled before they could be punished, or left the village because of their antipathy toward the village’s ways. The chief suspects that there may be more than one such rogue dragon tribe member mixed in with the assassination guild.”

“…… I see. So that’s why the assassination guild was using a mutated version of a technique that seems to have been passed down by the dragon race.”

“Yes. I suspected this possibility as soon as I heard it from you. Oh, of course, the Assassination Guild is still our enemy when it genuinely threatened your life, isn’t it?”

 Malak excuses himself.

“I have no doubt about it. ─ ─ Then the enemy could be very strong.”

Tauro, as well as Ankh and Ragune, were nervous.

“It will be fine.”

Malak continues confidently, despite Tauro and the others’ nervousness.

“The person we faced at the base of the capital had Dragonkin blood, but it wasn’t much of a fight. He was good at escaping, but Zumei cornered him and killed him. Of course, There is a possibility that there are even bigger people in the home base, so we have to be careful, but this time, the former capture group is also participating, so we will definitely annihilate them.”

 Malak answered without hesitation.

“…… haha. That’s certainly not something they can escape from. ……”

Tauro was more than aware of the greatness of the capture group, so he almost felt sorry for the assassination guild.
