After Malak, Zumei, and Reeva reported that the Assassins’ Guild headquarters lay in the neighboring Bomen territory, Tauro informed Count Graunewald, who was still staying at Caxart’s mayoral residence.
“The headquarters is in Viscount Bomen’s domain?” the count asked.
“Yes. I learned it from trusted acquaintances. I intend to enter the territory with several companions and help destroy the organization.”
Count Graunewald’s expression darkened.
“Ordinarily, I’d write to the viscount before one of my people entered his land for such a purpose. However, Bomen himself isn’t trustworthy, and I can’t dismiss the possibility that he’s connected to the Assassins’ Guild.”
“What kind of man is he?”

The count continued thoughtfully.

“It’s an effective system for exposing suspicious strangers,” Tauro agreed. “If Viscount Bomen is connected to the Assassins’ Guild, a large group of outsiders arriving after the Royal Capital bases were destroyed would immediately appear hostile.”
Everyone frowned.
“Then Black-Gold Wings should enter first,” Ragune proposed. “Once we’ve reached a safe location, Tauro and I can create a route for the others.”
“Your [Dimensional Corridor] only connects to the Dragonfolk Village,” Malak pointed out.
“And I won’t agree to weakening the village entrance’s security,” Tauro added.
“That isn’t what I meant. I recently discovered that I can create a second entrance and exit. I didn’t mention it because I had only been traveling between Caxart and the village, but it may be useful here.”
“Ragune, you should have told us immediately!” Tauro exclaimed. “We were worrying over a problem you had already solved.”

“Then Black-Gold Wings can enter with Reeva, who can continue tracking my former father,” Tauro proposed.
“The six of us should go together,” Malak said. “The remaining dragonfolk, including the veterans of the conquest team, can wait in Caxart. Once Ragune establishes the second corridor entrance, we can summon them through the village if necessary.”
Tauro examined the proposed group.
“Ragune and Reeva already attract attention as two beautiful women. Adding the handsome Malak and the boyishly handsome Zumei will make us even more conspicuous…”
