Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 457:  Showing Off Your Skills; continued

Tauro chuckled at Aeris’s teasing remark and took a few steps back, moving even further away from where the hunter boy had shot his arrows.

“Hey, are you still backing up!?”

“Isn’t that distance a bit too far?”

“Can he really shoot from that far…?”

Tauro stopped in a place that was away from the square and behind a row of houses, making it difficult for the young people to see him.

From that far distance, his arrow tore through the air, drawing a white arc, and pierced the target.

To everyone’s astonishment, it struck the nock of the hunter boy’s arrow, cleanly cutting it in half and embedding itself in the target.

Everyone was honestly surprised that he had been able to hit the target from so far away, and expressed their admiration, though some thought it may have just been a fluke.

Then, another arrow flew through the air.

Once again, it pierced the notch of the hunter boy’s second arrow, splitting it in half and hitting the target once more.

The young spectators gasped in disbelief.

The first one might have been a fluke, but the second one was a different story.

Given the distance, merely hitting the target was an incredible feat; but the precision of it all and, upon closer inspection, you could see that the arrow was deeply embedded in the tree on which the target is set, illustrating the power behind the shot.

Those nearby, including the knights who were serving as guards and had been watching with smiles, were also taken aback by this.

While everyone was speechless, Tauro fired a third arrow.

This arrow was enveloped in light, literally trailing a luminous tail as it soared toward the target.

This third arrow of light was so conspicuous that anyone could see it with their naked eyes, and just like the previous two, it caught the notch of the third arrow, but this time the arrow was not cut in half, but was obliterated, piercing through the target and the tree, and embedding itself deep into the wall behind it.

“What!?”

“Wait, did it just make a hole in that tree?”

“No way… I’ve never seen anything like this!”

Everyone watching was in disbelief, staring at the scene in astonishment.

And in the next moment,

“““Incredible!”””

The place erupted in cheers.

Tauro returned casually, walking back as if nothing had happened.

While on the inside he was filled with pride, he managed to retain a face that conveyed, “This is nothing special for me,” as he checked the target, maintaining the dignity befitting the eldest son of the Graundewald family.

Tauro possessed the ability ‘Precision’ which greatly increases dexterity, and a specialized skill known as “Divine Archer,” which enhanced his archery, along with “Heroic Bearing,” which improved various abilities, and on top of that, “Light Spirit Magic No Restriction,” which amplified the power of his light arrows.

Additionally, he wielded the bow of Artemis, an unfathomable weapon capable of conveying abilities to his arrows, along with Behemoth leather armor that enhanced his various capabilities.

Furthermore, when he casually shoots an arrow he equips a round shield made from a guardian figure in his left hand, which greatly increases his strength and power, certainly pushing the limits of fairness.

“Hehehe. This is the true skill of Tauro, the leader of the adventurer team the ‘Black-Golden Wings’!”

Aeris decided to boast on Tauro’s behalf since he didn’t seem inclined to do so himself.

“Just as expected of Lord Tauro!”

Zion joined in, applauding Tauro alongside Aeris.

Applause erupted from those watching.

The main forces behind the cheering were Ankh and Ragune, who had accompanied them as fellow adventurers, but after witnessing Tauro’s extraordinary skills, everyone around was swept along in the enthusiasm.

All at once, as if drawn in, a thunderous applause broke out.

The hunter boy  also felt like he had been shown the difference in their ranks, but he applauded honestly.

The other young people followed suit, showering praises and cheers.

After that, they continued to show off their skills amongst themselves

Some felt a bit deflated by Tauro’s extraordinary performance, but the opportunity to showcase their own talents remained a crucial chance.

They were desperate, given that serving a high-ranking noble family with real ability could change their fortunes.

This time, the woman who had previously demonstrated her light magic to Aeris stepped forward as everyone looked on.

“I can already use the light magic ‘Purification’ which is above ‘Clean’, and for offensive magic, I can utilize the rare mid-tier magic ‘Lightning Arrow,’” she declared, raising her staff toward the sky before invoking her magic and releasing a ‘Lightning Arrow.’

The arrow charged with electricity shot from her staff, soaring into the sky before vanishing.

“Oh! That’s definitely a ‘Lightning Arrow!’”

“Lightning-type abilities are already unique and rare, but this is amazing!”

“Could this woman be the most talented spellcaster among all of us here!?”

The young people showered praise upon the female magician.

“It’s my turn next, right?”

Aeris approached with calm confidence, completely unbothered, much like Tauro had done before.

She raised the ebony staff she had received from Tauro toward the heavens.

There’s a new magic stone attached to it’s tip.

It previously had a Griffon magic stone attached to it, but after it was returned to Tauro, he replaced the magic stone.

Now, the magic stone was a smaller-sized gem glowing a beautiful aquamarine.

Aeris didn’t know the value of this magic stone, but it was actually the top-quality “Water Dragon Magic Stone”, the most outstanding item at the ‘Dragon’s Breath Weapon Shop’ in the Dragon-people village.

Priced at 30 platinum coins (around 300 million yen), if Aeris had known its worth, she would have fainted; but, Tauro had purchased it without any grand gestures and exchanged it as if it were nothing.

Aeris raised the wand and chanted her spell, muttering “Lightning rain”, and a bolt of lightning on a completely different scale from the genius female mages’ display  erupted from the staff.

It generated an immense roar as it shot up toward the sky.

The residents, startled by the thunderous noise, some rushed out of their homes thinking a thunderstorm had struck.

And the group of youngsters themselves were frozen in place.

Not just because of the sound, but because they were overwhelmed by the rampant might of ‘Lightning Rain,’ which dwarfed the earlier ‘Lightning Arrow.’

At that moment, Aeris herself was momentarily stunned.

However, regaining her composure, she glared at Tauro and approached him.

Then, in a low voice, she pressed close to him.

“(Tauro…! This magic stone must have been extremely expensive…! It’s power is just too much…!)”

Aeris  herself was surprised at the power of her maximum magical capacity she currently had at her disposal
