Chapter 318: Activities in the Royal Capital

The four members of “ Black Golden Wings” spent the remaining three months of the year with many mixed feelings in their hearts.

Tauro and his group’s base of operations was basically the village of the Dragon People, but recently they have been visiting the headquarters of the Adventurers’ Guild in the royal capital to sell their face.

Thanks to Aeris, the “Black Golden Wings” team had been recognized as a talented young team in the royal capital, but Tauro wasn’t there, so he needed to raise his profile as a leader.

After all, D-rank adventurers are often tasked with supporting higher-ranked adventurers.

For example, they often take part in large scale quests for B-rank teams, carrying luggage, providing support in battle, assisting with medical treatment, and so on.

Because of the risks involved, support for this class is limited to D ranks and above.

Well, most of what they do is chores, but since it is a high rank quest, the risk of losing your life is high even if it Is just chores.

Therefore, it was normal to want to entrust the work to a team that could be trusted, even if they were also D-ranked, even if they were higher-ranked adventurers.

the Black Golden Wings under Aeris had been working so hard to gain the trust of the public, and in a short period of time, had gained so much credibility through their achievements that there were many teams of adventurers who wanted to nominate them. The leader of that team Aeris had  been replaced by a 13-year-old boy.

Of course, the original leader had just returned, but the adventurers in the royal capital had no way of knowing that.

So it was not surprising that those asking for help were a little hesitant.

That is why it was also necessary to work in the royal capital in order to dispel that worry

The activities of the D-rank team “Black Golden Wings,” which appeared at the Adventurers’ Guild in the royal capital several times a month, easily dispelled these worries.

In one quest, they took part in a deep cave monster sweep as baggage carriers for a B-rank team, and the “Black Gold Wings” were, to put it mildly, more active than the B-rank team.

For the time being, the “Black Golden Wings” were limited to supporting from the rear due to the danger, but they were the “Black Golden Wings” wrapped in magically modified equipment.

Tauro’s support with his bow and arrow was more like an attack by the main force than support, and his instructions to his comrades and their movements were on par with those of a B-rank team that had been in a similar situation.

At the same time, the team is also considerate enough to yield to the B-rank teams in order to maintain their prestige.

With that, the worries about changing the leader of the “Black Golden Wings” was quickly dispelled, and in fact, the team was named as a dependable team by the top adventurer teams and their nominations increased more than ever before.

Although they were not very active in the royal capital, the team “Black Golden Wings,” led by a 13-year-old boy, had a strong impact on the other adventurers, and their future looked very promising.

After reporting the completion of their quest, Tauro and his team came out from the Adventurers’ Guild headquarters in the royal capital.

“Hmmm …….I kind of still have trouble with the gap.”

Unusually, Tauro let out some sort of uneasiness.

“What do you mean?”

Aeris asked back, not understanding what he meant.

“You see, we usually do quests in the Dragon People’s Village branch, right? Over there we are literally newbies, but when we come here, we’re called a promising young team or a rising star.”

“Ha ha! I know how you feel. I’m  also treated as a novice in the village, too. But here, as you said before, It’s expected and rewarding!”

Ragune was in a good mood, having actually been scouted before coming out of the guild.

And by scout, I mean recruited to the team.

With the tendency among adventurers to think that offensive power is justified, Ragune, who plays the role of a shield, was rare and easily noticed.

The success of “Black Golden Wings” had made some of the top teams realize the importance of shields, and some of them have  changed their perceptions. They would ask Ragune jokingly, “Won’t you come to our team?” And jokingly invited her to join them.

Of course, Ragune immediately refused, but it was impossible not to feel good about it.

“It’s challenging anyway, Ragune is often invited to join even before the leader came back. That makes you feel good, like you’re appreciated, doesn’t it? There are plenty of vanguards like me who specialize in attacking, but when it comes to shielding, not many are honing that skill because it’s too minor. I’m talking about the fact that it would be faster to pull you out than to train someone now.”

“how rude. I can’t believe they would try to pull her out, even as a joke, in front of her friends.”

Aeris remembers, and her cheeks puff out and she makes a pretense of being angery.

“Well, well, If  Ragune’s value is that high, you must be proud to be a member of this group. Besides, Aeris was approached too, weren’t you?”

In order to soothe Aeris, Tauro tried to switch to talking about herself.

“It’s not about me. I’m more excited about the fact that Tauro’s reputation is on the rise. You’re the leader of the group, so there’s been no outspoken talk of you being recruited, but everyone says they’re looking forward to the future of Black Golden Wings.”

Aeris’s anger from earlier goes away, and she smiles broadly.

“I still can’t help but compare it to the dragon people’s village, I can’t be happy about it.”

Tauro was so focused on the people over there that he felt he could not rely on their evaluation of him.
