Chapter 414: Preparation Complete
After finishing the creation of the herb garden, we decided to have tea in the proud garden of the Mulan Marquis family. Of course, Nero and I returned to the mansion once to change clothes. Fabienne would be staying behind with Carol and the others, but with Mira there, it should be fine.
Even so, when I hurriedly changed and returned, Fabienne was happily chatting with everyone. That’s good. It looks like she’s fine now. Maybe I was being a little overprotective?

Nero nodded in response to Fabienne’s words. Seeing this, Carol put a hand to her mouth. Axel and Isidore also nodded in unison. It seems like they fully believe that I could easily do something like that.

Axel and Isidore began eating enthusiastically. Carol was momentarily taken aback by their reaction, but she quickly regained herself and started eating the dried fruits as well.
“This is delicious! It’s far better than what I had in the royal capital.”
“They’re freshly made, after all.”
“Oh my, Julius-sama, how did you make these? You didn’t bring the magic tool with you, did you?”
“I used magic and skills.”
“Julius, you can do anything, can’t you? How does that even work?”
Isidore asked with a serious face. I could only give him a wry smile in response.
Now that the herb garden was completed without issue, I decided to spend the afternoon making a magical plant nutrient solution. With this much preparation done, all that was left was to obtain the seedlings.
“The quality of the ingredients is mostly standard, isn’t it?”
“That’s right. I suppose we should be glad that at least they aren’t low-quality.”
“Yes, that’s true.”
It seems we’ve become too accustomed to using high-quality and top-quality ingredients. That’s not a good habit. The real skill lies in being able to create magic potions no matter the quality of the ingredients. Quality is just a bonus. Of course, the higher the quality, the better, but still.
I carefully make plant nutrients with Fabienne. Since I’ve made them before, there’s no problem. If there is a problem, it would be if the effects are too strong. If overgrown medicinal herbs or antidote grass start growing wildly in the herb garden, it would definitely cause a commotion. Finding the right balance is difficult.

Fabienne must have imagined the same thing. Her expression had also turned somewhat awkward.

“And the other necessary item… should we prepare insect-repellent incense?”

With our preparations complete, we waited for permission to go to the forest. That day came quickly.

Honestly, if this discouraged them from coming and they decided to stay at the mansion, I’d prefer that. If it were just the guys, we could explore the forest without worries.
But contrary to my hopes, neither of them chose to withdraw.
