Chapter 312: A Little Celebration

When Rosalia and I arrived at the dining room, Alex-niisan and Sister-in-law Daniela were already there. This is a chance. I’ll try to bring it up subtly before everyone gathers.

Father looked toward Mother, sister-in-law Daniela, Rosalia, and sister-in-law Mika. Sister-in-law Mika likely heard the full details from Cain-niisan, and sister-in-law Daniela probably got some information from Alex-niisan.

The only ones who might not know the full story are Mother and Rosalia. Rosalia ran away when the story of the Snow Worm’s contents being expelled came up.

“With this, we should be able to enjoy some peace for a while. Let’s toast to the investigation team who fulfilled their mission and to everyone who protected our territory.”

Everyone raised their glasses and made a toast. Of course, the glasses for us were filled with juice. Alcohol will come later, when we’re of age. So, it seems that one becomes an adult and can drink alcohol at fifteen in this world. That’s quite early.

The dining room became lively with Father’s toast. I’m sure there’s a celebration happening at the knights’ quarters right now. Since most of the higher-ups are on this side, they might be having quite a party over there. I hope they don’t go overboard and end up getting scolded by Lionel later.

“Thank you for your hard work, Julius-sama.”

“Lionel, how much did you tell Father?”

“Well, I told him everything. It’s important for him to know more about you, Julius-sama.”

Whether this thoughtfulness is good or bad is hard to say. Certainly, it would be convenient for Father to know everything, whether I’m revealing or concealing my abilities. On the other hand, it means I might get interrogated by him. What to do?

“By the way, the improved version of the magical stone heater will be available soon.”

“You’ve already made something like that?”

“Not me. It’s Rosalia.”

The celebration continued with Lionel smiling at Rosalia, feeding Mira fruits, and chatting with the Mage Commander.

“Alright, it’s time for the children to get ready for the night.”

Mother clapped her hands, signaling that Rosalia and I should leave. It seems the others are still going to keep drinking. I’m glad I gave the head chef the basic stamina recovery potions earlier. I hope they’re being used by now. It looks like tonight will be a long one for me.

It seems that I’ll be called by Father the day after tomorrow at the earliest. Maybe he’ll forget about it. I hope so.

“Come on, Rosalia, let’s go.”

I tugged on the sulking Rosalia’s hand as we were ushered out.
