Chapter 150: Tour of the School

　I had a very bad feeling, so I put it back in its sheath as if nothing had happened.

　This is not good. All eyes are on me. It’s already a one-note about  the “Spirit of the Lake” thing. I couldn’t afford to make any more mistakes.

　We passed through a small gate next to the school’s main gate. There was a guard room there, and my brother Cain was allowed to pass through by showing his student ID card. Of course, only he could pass through, and the knights and servants were waiting in front of the gate. The worried faces of the knights staring at me were impressive. Even though I did nothing.

“That’s the dormitory where I live.”

“It’s big. It’s more like a mansion than a dormitory.”

“I guess you could say that.”

　My older brother chuckles. It's probably a dormitory exclusively used by children of noble families. Unlike the knight’s dormitory of the Margrave Heine family, it is a magnificent mansion with a triangular roof. The windows are large and there seems to be plenty of sunlight. 　As expected, it didn't seem like we could go inside the building, so we headed straight to the courtyard. It was a bright and spacious garden with a large fountain in the center. It was deserted at the moment as there are no people around, but I'm sure it will be crowded with people once the new semester starts. There were benches set up everywhere.

“The courtyard is quite large and splendid. I don’t doubt that it belongs in a castle.”

“I suppose it is. The royal family is in charge of this courtyard. Not only the courtyard. The entire school is in the hands of the royal family.”

“Is that so?”

　It seems that the true rulers of the school are the royal family. Well, it's in a prime location in the royal capital, and the royal family probably supports it, so I guess it can't be helped.

　Brother Cain also showed me around the buildings where classes are held and the training grounds. There seemed to be several other visitors besides us. I guess it’s very popular. By the way, didn’t  brother Alex say he was coming?

“is Brother Alex somewhere around here?”

“Yes, …… I wonder if he’s in the student council room.　But I can’t really go in there. And I don't really want to go there.”

　Apparently, Brother Cain does not like the student council. Maybe he has been invited to join the student council. But he probably refuses to do so because he would lose time for his own training. It sounds like something he would do.

“Cain, Julius, you’re here.”

“Brother Alex!”

　I turned around and there was Brother Alex and Miss Daniela. Are they on break?　I don’t think they are on a date in the school or something.

“Julius seemed interested in the academy, so I was showing him around.”

“Oh.”

“Brother Cain, I’m not particularly interested in the school. I was just curious to know what the Potions class at the academy was like.”

　It seems that my looking at the school’s textbooks at the bookstore had caused a misunderstanding. I was really just curious, I don’t want to join the academy. I’ll have to make sure there are no more misunderstandings.

“Hehehe, then Julius must have been unsatisfied. The potions classes at the academy are not as intense as those at the academy in the capital. In fact, those who want to become potions masters do not go to the academy in the capital, but to the Margrave Heine territory. They make the school in the territory their first choice.’’

I didn’t know that. I had never looked into it that much, since it was still a long way off for me to enter the academy. Then there’s little chance I’ll be going to the royal academy.
