Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 132: A Full-Course Welcome:

I served a selection of dishes that had received great feedback in the past for Yato’s parents.

The side dish was edamame corn, and the main course was a juicy tomato hamburger steak with garlic and a fluffy, melty omelette.

As for the omelette, I decided to include it because it paired excellently with the hamburger’s sauce.

If there was one concern, it would be the garlic—some might worry about their breath afterward… but honestly, considering how delicious it is, I think it’s a small price to pay.

For dessert, I presented a truly exquisite dish: pancakes drizzled with Queen Needle syrup and topped with vanilla ice cream.

It might seem like pancakes would be a bit too heavy after vegetables, hamburger steak, and an omelette—but with this dessert, no matter how full you are, you’ll find room for it.

Besides, both Kurikara-san and Tia-san are dragons—I’m sure they’ll devour it in no time.

“All these dishes are such unfamiliar colors. Bright red blood-like sauce, yellow and green specks… the only thing I even remotely recognize is the egg dish. Is this really safe to eat?”

“These are all dishes that have been especially well-received, so I believe you’ll enjoy them. Please start with the edamame corn.”

“The milk tea from earlier was incredibly delicious, so I have no doubts at all. Let’s begin, then.”

While Kurikara hesitated, Tia scooped up the edamame corn and put it into her mouth without hesitation.

It’s a simple dish, but the sweetness of the corn combined with the saltiness of the edamame makes it addictively tasty.

It seemed to suit Tia’s palate well—she smiled softly as she ate.

Seeing her enjoy it, Kurikara seemed to find the courage to try a bite as well.

“—This is… delicious!? It’s just vegetables, and yet it’s sweet and tasty—I can’t stop eating it!”

Looks like it suited Kurikara’s taste as well—he began shoveling it in enthusiastically.

“Next, please try the main course. I recommend eating it with white rice—it makes it even better.”

“This time, I’ll go first! —Mmm, this is amazing! W-What is this explosion of flavor!?”

Still on the momentum from eating the edamame corn, Kurikara stuffed a bite of the tomato hamburger into his mouth—then froze, overwhelmed by the taste.

That first punch of rich flavor—I was confident he’d love it.

“—This is truly delicious! I feel like I’m tasting a flavor I wasn’t meant to know…!”

“It goes too perfectly with the rice—I can’t stop eating!”

“Ah, hold on. Try putting the sauce on the omelette too—it gets even better.”

“I hate to admit it… but Satou, you’re a genius!”

With that dramatic exclamation, Kurikara ate the omelette, hamburger, and rice all together in one go.

Even Tia, who had been trying her best to eat politely, began digging in, clearly overwhelmed by the deliciousness. It was safe to say the full-course meal was a massive success.

“…Haaah. I’m not saying this to flatter you, but this might have been the happiest moment of my life.”

“Same here. Well, aside from when Yato was born—but this definitely comes close.”

Hearing them compare this meal to the joy of their child’s birth—what higher praise could I ask for? I couldn’t help but smile.

I silently thanked the people of Japan for the ingredients and the recipes.

“Thank you for the kind words. But… we’re not finished yet. Dessert is still to come.”

“W-What!? You still plan to delight us even more!?”

“I now fully understand why Yato wants to keep coming back here. Honestly, I want to start visiting too.”

“I’ll have it ready in just a moment—please wait.”

Seeing how excited the two of them looked, I began preparing the pancake batter I had made ahead of time.

I adjusted it for maximum fluffiness, added Queen Needle syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream—and it was ready.

“Thank you for waiting. Here is your pancake.”

“T-The aroma is amazing. This one even looks delicious.”

“It really does smell wonderful. …Oh? Is this the same syrup that was in the milk tea earlier?”

“Good eye. Yes, I used the same syrup.”

“I can’t say this out loud in front of Satou-san, but I cook too, you know. My expectations are high.”

“Then, please enjoy.”

Using their knives and forks skillfully, the two of them began to cut into the pancake.

Even the cross-section was soaked with syrup and ice cream, and just watching them made me want to eat it too.

“—Exquisite.”

Kurikara-san took a single bite, muttered that word, and then froze in place, staring up at the ceiling.

Tia-san, on the other hand, had tears quietly streaming down her cheeks—she was clearly moved by how delicious it was, but honestly, the scene was starting to feel a little scary.

“…I am truly impressed. Satou-san, if it’s you, I would have no objection to marrying off Yato.”

I froze at Tia-san’s sudden declaration.

It was completely unexpected—I had no words.

Looking for help, I turned to Kurikara-san, fully expecting him to object immediately and put an end to the madness.

“…It’s frustrating, but I have no objections!”

—Damn it. This man is absolutely useless.

This was exactly the moment I needed him to voice strong opposition…!

“N-No, please! That’s unthinkable! Someone like me isn’t a good match for Yato-san, and we’re not in that kind of relationship!”

“What…? Are you saying Yato isn’t good enough for you, Satou!?”

“No, no! That’s not what I meant at all…!”

After that, it took quite a bit of effort and time to calm both Kurikara-san and Tia-san down.

It probably just meant they were that happy with the food—but honestly, things escalated so wildly, I was genuinely panicking.
