Chapter 125: Lilcarilia Wants to Escape Reality
That day, Lilcarlia had come to Geo’s place as usual to pick up supplies.
She noticed Geo, Shifa and the others gathered in the garden and, curious about what they were up to, asked. It turned out they were planning to go check on the Second Home Garden.
“If it’s alright, could I come along too? I’d like to know what it’s like over there, especially now that it’s moved closer to the Magic Zone,” Lilcarlia said.
“Oh, sure, that’s fine,” Geo replied without hesitation.
His prompt agreement showed just how completely he trusted her.
In an instant, they were transported to the Second Home Garden. And what lay before them were numerous houses that hadn’t been there until recently.
“Houses… here? Could someone actually be living here…? And those look like fish tanks or something…” she thought, a mix of curiosity and unease stirring within her.
“Right, this is Io’s house first,” Geo said.
“Io? Who’s that?”
Lilcarlia’s eyes widened as a figure stepped out of the house. It wasn’t just that the person was rare in these parts—it was something more striking.
“!? That beastman…!?”
Other beastmen soon gathered as well. Each had silver-white hair and tails, with sharp, tiger-like features that made them look fierce and noble.
“White-haired… tiger beastmen… could it be…?” Lilcarlia’s heart thudded.
“Lilcalia? Are you alright?” someone asked.
“N-no, it’s nothing!” she stammered, shaking her head, though inside she was utterly stunned.
(These tiger beastmen… there’s no doubt about it—they’re members of the White Tiger Clan…!)
The White Tiger Clan was said to be a lineage of beastmen who inherited the power of a mythic-grade creature—the White Tiger. Feared for their overwhelming strength, other beast races had hunted them almost to extinction centuries ago.
(I’d heard that a few survivors had been quietly living somewhere… but here, of all places…?)
Next, the group was led to a place filled with mysterious sculptures.
(What… is all this…? Even avant-garde artists usually make things a bit tamer… And wait, are all of these made of Adamantite?! How much Adamantite did they even use…? What on earth are they making here!?)
As Lilcarlia gawked in disbelief, a huge, bearded figure emerged from one of the sculptures.
“Ah, Geo-dono! Behold these magnificent works of art! Thanks to having disciples, they’re getting closer and closer to my ideal!” the dwarf exclaimed proudly.
Lilcarlia tilted her head in puzzlement.
(This dwarf… isn’t he a bit… too big for a dwarf…?)
Even adult dwarves rarely exceed 150 centimeters, yet this one seemed close to 170, with shoulders that were absurdly broad.
(Well, humans can have outliers too… it’s not necessarily strange—)
She tried to rationalize it, but when more dwarves appeared, her theory crumbled. Every single one had a physique far beyond that of ordinary dwarves.
(These dwarves… they’re clearly not normal dwarves… could it be…?)
“Lilcalia? Is something bothering you?” Geo asked.
“N-no, no, it’s nothing at all!” she said, forcing a smile. Inside, however, she was screaming silently.
(They’re Elder Dwarves… completely Elder Dwarves…!)
Elder Dwarves were an ancient race of dwarves, rare and powerful, rivaling even the White Tiger Clan. With unmatched strength and secret techniques passed down through generations for smithing and crafting, they could create legendary-grade weapons.
(And with this garden able to produce unlimited Adamantite… with Geo’s ridiculous gifts… it’s only a matter of time before this becomes material for god-level weapons… and if that happens…)
Their next stop was a crimson mansion.
(What is with this tasteless mansion… it looks like a vampire’s… no, that can’t be…)
“This is where the vampires live,” Geo explained.
“V-vampires? Is that… safe?”
“Yeah, they don’t drink blood or anything,” he reassured her.
(Are they really vampires…?!)
A beautiful vampire maid greeted them at the entrance.
“Welcome, Geo-sama,” she said.
“Oh, Vania-san? You’re back already?”
Vania, the vampire. Her name seemed familiar to Lilcarlia, though she couldn’t quite place it.
(Someone I’ve heard of… not exactly a good image comes to mind…)
Then a young blonde vampire girl appeared.
“This is Bladia-san. She’s… kind of the owner of this mansion, I think,” Geo explained.
The name made Lilcarlia gasp.
(Bladia!? Could it really be…? And if so… Vania is…?)
She suddenly recalled what she knew of Vania’s name.
“Bladia the vampire, and Vania…? That’s… no way…”
“Lilcalia…?”
“N-nothing at all!” she stammered, trying desperately to cover her panic. But her voice shook.
(The extermination princess who wreaked havoc during the Great Human-Demon War… I think her name was Vania… and Bladia is the name of the daughter of the true vampire ancestor… haha, what an incredible coincidence…)
Faced with one unbelievable revelation after another, Lilcarlia finally began to retreat inwardly from reality itself.
