Chapter 120: The Annihilation Princess

“…Excuse me.”

“Welcome, Geo-sama.”

As I pushed open the door to Bladia-san’s mansion, there she was—Vania-san, standing as always with her composed, elegant demeanor. The familiar sight brought a sense of comfort amidst the tension that had been building lately.

“And what brings you here today?” Vania-san asked, her tone polite but attentive, eyes sharp as ever.

“Well… actually, I wanted to discuss something,” I replied hesitantly.

“Something you wish to discuss?”

“Yes.”

Just then, Bladia-san herself appeared at the perfect moment. Her cheeks puffed out like a squirrel’s—a telltale sign she was probably munching on yet another tomato.

“Geo, isn’t it? What’s the matter?”

I explained the whole situation to both of them, detailing what had happened.

“I see… that cannot be left unchecked,” Bladia said gravely.

“Indeed. As one of our kind, we cannot simply forgive such individuals,” Vania added, her voice stiff with indignation.

Their outrage was palpable, and I couldn’t help but blink in surprise at their intensity. Sensing my confusion, Vania-san explained further.

“The law in our country strictly forbids vampires from drawing human blood without permission,” she said.

“Is that so?” I asked, genuinely intrigued.

“Yes. The details are a bit murky, but after the great war between demons and humans, the then-King enacted this law. Since then, we are only permitted to feed on certain blood sources, such as criminal slaves acquired through trade.”

So… the vampire who had crossed into this country illegally and taken human blood at will was violating her own homeland’s laws.

…Wait a second.

When Bladia-san first visited us, didn’t she mention feeding on Miranda’s blood? And if I recall correctly, she had even intended to destroy the whole town, not just feed.

…Well, maybe it’s best not to dwell on that.

“Leave this to me, Geo-sama. I will catch that fiend, no matter what,” Vania said with unwavering confidence.

“Wait… you, Vania-san?” I asked, startled.

“Yes. Don’t worry. Her investigative abilities are extraordinary,” Bladia reassured me.

“Indeed. Using those skills, I have located Bladia-sama countless times during her wandering escapades,” Vania explained, her tone calm but precise.

…She’s a maid, right? Somehow, I felt like that was the understatement of the century.

“Then… may I ask you for help? For now, I’ll take you to the city where she’s currently hiding,” I requested.

“To take me there…?” Vania repeated, her brow slightly raised.

Without another word, we leapt through the skies together, heading straight for Randall City.

“!? Just now… what was that?”

“We traveled from one home garden to another,” I said matter-of-factly.

“…Honestly, Geo-sama, it seems you might be the more unconventional one here,” she added with a small smile.

“Really? Please don’t worry about it. Anyway, that’s the mansion where the vampire is staying,” I said, pointing out the location below.

◇ ◇ ◇

“I thought I had gathered a perfect collection of cute, delicious little humans, and now… thanks to that, I have to start all over again.”

Mireal, a young vampire who had been repeatedly imprisoning and feeding on young women, muttered in frustration as she left Randall City behind.

“Well, humans are easy to control if you know what you’re doing. This time, I just happened to get caught—bad luck, that’s all,” she added, a sly smirk playing on her lips. She was already planning her next strike in another city.

Then, suddenly, a powerful presence approached. Mireal froze, her instincts screaming a warning.

“What… what is this incredible magic…?” she whispered, eyes widening.

Before her, a single bat appeared. But this was no ordinary bat—Mireal recognized it instantly. It was one of her own kind.

And at that moment, she knew—her illegal feeding had finally drawn the attention of someone who could punish her. She had been reckless, thinking she would never be caught.

To her shock, the figure that emerged was a beautiful vampire dressed in a maid’s uniform. Her presence radiated authority, and her voice, though soft and polite, carried an undeniable weight.

“Pleased to meet you. I am Vania,” she said.

“Vania…?”

Mireal’s mind raced, trying to place the name. Vania… Vania… And then it clicked.

“!? N-No… it can’t be… the Annihilation Princess, Vania!?”

“What a nostalgic nickname,” Vania said calmly, almost teasingly.

“What… what could the Annihilation Princess want with me!?” Mireal demanded, forcing as much bravado as she could muster despite her fear.

“I’m not particularly fond of that title myself,” Vania replied gently, yet the pressure in her gaze left no room for defiance.

Mireal flinched instinctively.

“I am, after all, Bladia-sama’s loyal head maid,” Vania continued, her voice calm and unwavering.

“No… it can’t be…”

Bladia… the name struck fear into Mireal, its weight making her lips tremble. Yet Vania remained composed, even as she delivered the verdict.

“I have received information that you have been conducting illegal blood-feeding. As you know, it is currently forbidden in our country to consume human blood without permission.”

“You… you’re telling me that!? I know! You killed countless humans during the great war…!” Mireal spat back, trembling with rage and fear.

In the next instant, Vania’s serene expression broke, revealing her fangs as a brilliant, terrifying smile spread across her face.

“Fufufu… it seems you want to experience my power firsthand, right here, right now…”

“Eeeek!?”

The overwhelming killing intent slammed into Mireal like a physical blow. She collapsed to the ground, paralyzed with terror, tears streaming down her face as she cried out desperately.

“I-I’m… I’m so sorryyyyyyyyyyyyy!”
