Chapter 4: Advanced skill ≪Dual wield≫
To gather information on skills, I headed to the adventurer’s guild.
Upon reaching the street with the building, instead of entering the guild, I rented a room on the second floor of the inn across the street.
I sat by the window, gazing at the guild’s entrance, using ≪Skill Analysis≫ on the people coming in and out.

In this way, I confirm the effects and acquisition conditions of skills that adventurers possess.
By the way, once the data is confirmed, it is properly recorded in the history, so there is no need to memorize it. Therefore, I systematically use ≪Skill Analysis≫ on noticeable adventurers, accumulating data rapidly.
Indeed, being in the capital city, various people with different classes and skills gather. In about two hours, I managed to collect information on skills that are widely known.
“All right, this should be enough…”
Having judged that he has gathered sufficient data, Haruto sits on the bed in the inn and carefully reviews the accumulated information one by one.
Although powerful, is there a skill that can be easily memorized?
Alternatively, are there combinations of skills that exhibit synergy?
From the data obtained, seek out a method to become the ≪fastest≫ and ≪strongest≫.

Afterward, Haruto spent a full three days contemplating the skills he should memorize.
He read through skill descriptions, simulated various patterns, and derived the ‘skill hacks’ to become the ≪fastest≫ and ≪strongest≫ as quickly as possible.
And the answer he arrived at was――
“Abandon defense and go all-in on offense!”
His goal was to adopt an ultra-offensive style.
Typically, adventurers allocate a certain amount of skill points to the protective barrier magic ≪Life Barrier≫.
The remaining amount of this ≪Life Barrier≫ serves as what would be called HP in a conventional game—referred to as Barrier Points in this world.
As long as there are Barrier Points, one can withstand attacks from monsters without sustaining any injuries. For those making a living through battles with monsters, the Life Barrier is a crucial safety device that can determine life or death.
Therefore, the adventurers I confirmed with ≪Skill Analysis≫ uniformly invested points in ≪Life Barrier≫.
Specifically, those who had just undergone the aptitude ceremony allocated at least 3 points, mid-tier individuals invested 6 points or more, and for those at the upper echelons, even more points, was the general understanding.
However, I deliberately decided to allocate only the minimum points to this defensive aspect.

At Level 1, ≪Life Barrier≫ can only withstand a single light attack before the defense is lost. However, on the flip side, it means it can endure at least one attack.
One lifeline is sufficient.
In exchange, I decided to allocate the remaining skill points to attack skills. By doing so, I aim to compensate for the ordinary stats inherent to a non-combat class.

I distributed the remaining points into ≪Swordsmanship≫ and ≪Archery≫ skills.
While allocating points to ≪Swordsmanship≫ might be common, it’s unusual for someone to invest points in ≪Archery≫.
≪Archery≫ tends to be a jack of all trades, master of none. It falls short in terms of techniques compared to ≪Swordsmanship≫ and lacks the long-range attack power of ≪Magic≫.
Unless one becomes a ≪Hunter≫ class specializing in bows, adventurers rarely allocate points to ≪Archery≫.
However, I had a clear intention.
Allocating points to ≪Swordsmanship≫ and ≪Archery≫ was a shortcut hack I found through data analysis.
――And as expected, the moment I allocated skill points, the voice of the goddess announced it.

“You have fulfilled the conditions to acquire the dual-wielding skill ≪Double Slash≫.”

The expected results are displayed on the status screen.
“Here comes the advanced skill!”
The ≪Dual Wielding≫ skill is what is commonly known as an “advanced skill.”
It is a powerful skill, but it is difficult to acquire. It is said that one must either become a rare class called ≪Dual Swordsman≫ through the aptitude ceremony or gradually increase the skill level in the ≪Swordsmanship≫ category to finally acquire this skill.
However, I am able to acquire this “advanced skill” while still at Level 1.

◇ Acquirable Skills (Required SP)
≪Double Slash≫ (1)
– MP Cost: 10
– Attack Power: 40
– Description: Perform consecutive attacks with two swords.
– Acquisition Conditions: Dexterity 10, Swordsmanship 10
——————————
The key lay in those acquisition conditions.
To learn the dual-wielding skill, both Dexterity and Swordsmanship stats need to be increased.
However, if skill points are primarily allocated to the Swordsmanship skill, it would take a considerably high-level range before reaching the required value for Dexterity to acquire the dual-wielding skill. That’s why it was referred to as an “advanced skill.”
However, increasing the Dexterity stat itself isn’t difficult. It can easily be strengthened by learning skills from the Hunter category, such as ≪Archery≫.
In other words, once you know the acquisition conditions, anyone can easily acquire the dual-wielding skill.
This is truly a hack that you wouldn’t understand without analyzing the data.
I promptly used skill points to acquire the initial skill of ≪Double Slash≫ in dual-wielding.

After three days and three nights of contemplation, I decided to use all of my initial skill points, becoming the strongest.
“At Level 1, being able to acquire advanced skills is significant…”
≪Double Slash≫ is a powerful skill, capable of easily defeating lower-level monsters. It more than compensates for the ordinary stats of the ≪Analyzer≫ class. With this skill alone, I should be able to dominate at low levels.
“All right, let’s level up in the dungeon right away…!”
I’ve been cutting down on sleep for the past three days while contemplating, so there’s no denying that I’m sleep-deprived. However, the excitement of wanting to test my newfound strength outweighs the fatigue.
The young body of an 18-year-old allows him to work as much overtime as he wants.
