Chapter 214: The Beastmen Arrive in Another World
Two weeks have passed since the incident with Masaki-san.
Since then, we have continued to interact frequently, and the proposed matters are progressing smoothly. A date for the meeting with the student village chief should be set soon.
Speaking of which, it’s been almost a month since we started uploading videos, and all of them have skyrocketed in views. This has been especially noticeable since receiving government endorsement.
We’ve already monetized the channel, and recently, we’ve also started running a sub-channel. According to Juri, the aim is to create separate content based on ratings. The content itself is wholesome, but it includes slightly gory scenes of battles with monsters. Lately, the streaming team has been busy preparing for live broadcasts.
With all the groundwork laid, we are finally ready to begin the serious task of building the village.
◇◇◇
To build the village, I first want to reconfirm the surrounding terrain.
This village is situated in a basin surrounded by three mountains. The basin is about half the size of Nanasia town. At least, it covers an area of one square kilometer. The surrounding mountains are also part of the village’s land, making the total area quite extensive.

The village settlement is located at the southern end of the basin. Only the south side connects to the plains, where neighbors’ fields stretch out. Well, “neighbors” is a bit of a stretch—they’re more than 20 minutes away on foot.
A farm road runs along the south side of the village, serving as the only access route. Despite being a rural village, it has electricity, and both water and sewage systems are in place. Currently, we use propane gas, but with the Eternal Flame, there are no issues at all.
Additionally, a small river flows at the foot of the mountains, which was historically used for agriculture via irrigation channels. This can still be utilized in the future. However, agriculture here will primarily serve PR purposes. We can bring rice and wheat from the other world, so we don’t plan on large-scale farming. It will suffice to grow small amounts of crops not found in the other world.
Overall, aside from the distance to the nearest town, there are no major obstacles to living here. It’s certainly better than becoming a spectacle in a densely populated area.
“Hey Natsuki, I’m going to expand the barrier now!”
“Everything’s ready here too. The camera is already rolling!”
I called out to Natsuki in the sky and proceeded to create a barrier around the entire basin.
The barrier rapidly expanded from the center—a promising start for our footage. After deliberating on the shape, I opted for a dome-like hemisphere for aesthetic reasons. It was impossible to include the surrounding mountains in the barrier due to a lack of faith points, so I settled for enclosing the flatlands for now.
‘Expanded the area by 1km in diameter’
‘Faith points used: 200,000pt’
‘Remaining faith points: 300,000pt’

The barrier covering the vast land was indistinguishable from those in the other world. It shimmered a light green, with the protection of the Earth Goddess functioning correctly. This marked the birth of ‘Nanasia Village,’ the first village of its kind in Japan.
“Hey, chief, are we really going with that name for the village? It doesn’t sit well with me…”
“What, Touya, are you bad-mouthing the goddess?”
“No, not that. It just doesn’t roll off the tongue well…”
I understand what Touya is saying. Honestly, it feels a bit off to me too. However, the village’s name is closely tied to the effectiveness of the blessings. Using the goddess’s name directly should maximize the village’s benefits. Even if it doesn’t roll off the tongue, the goddess’s name will spread easily.
“Touya, instead of worrying about that, go bring the beastmen here.”
“Got it. And, uh, keep what I said just now a secret!”
“That’s impossible. The goddess is definitely listening.”
“Seriously…?”
Indeed, my inner thoughts were heard loud and clear. As I waited for the beastmen, the goddess’s telepathic scolding was relentless. Words like “feels off” and “doesn’t roll off the tongue” kept echoing in my head.

Ten minutes after the divine lecture, Touya returned with the beastmen in tow.
For them, it was their first time in another world. I expected them to be nervous, but their expressions were uniformly bright.
This time, we only invited those with a loyalty score of 90 or above. Although the plan was for about 100 people, the number already exceeded 200. According to Rudrug, who arrived earlier, about double that number were waiting at the gate.
(Of course, everyone’s curious about another world.)
With far more people than expected, I worried about the state of my home. The refrigerator must be in chaos, and the teleportation circle in the yard must be glowing like crazy. I’ll need to reestablish the barrier and move the refrigerator to the yard later.
In total, around 400 beastmen from various races gathered. Although not everyone came today, many more are interested. While they are not allowed to leave the barrier, they are free to travel between worlds. I instructed them to report to Haruka when returning.
“So, this is the village chief’s hometown.”
“It’s just a typical rural village. It must be refreshing for you, though?”
“I never imagined this day would come… Another world really exists.”
“I thought the same when I teleported.”
Rado was looking around the village as he spoke.
“Well then, we’ll patrol the village. If anything happens, we’ll report to Sakura-dono.”
“That’s a big help. Please take care of things here too.”
The security team and Nanashi Army members are also here. They will patrol Japan and the other world regularly, providing constant updates. This way, we can respond immediately, no matter where we are.
As I parted ways with Rado and the security team, the architect Rudrug arrived. Out of nowhere, Juri also appeared, and the usual development discussion began.
“Rudrug, it looks like you’ve already started.”
“Of course, Chief. What are we going to do if we don’t get moving, right, Juri?”
“I’ve been busy editing videos lately… I don’t dislike that, but city building is still the best!”
“Thanks to Juri, the videos are hugely popular. Let’s do our best again starting today.”
This village is planned to be an exact replica of Nanasia, the city in the other world. Initially, I thought about creating something more fantastical, but we concluded that familiarity is best. A structure similar to Nanasia will make it easier for the beastmen to live here. Though the village will be about one-third the size of Nanasia, it should still comfortably accommodate over ten thousand people.
“Juri, how do you plan to handle the housing?”
“Do you mean the architectural style?”
“No, I was wondering about sourcing materials. Will we use materials from Japan, or bring them from the other world?”
“Ah, I see. We plan to bring most of the materials from the other world.”
“Then should we call Hayato and Merinard?”
“Not yet. We will build the houses over there and transport them here.”
(Transporting whole houses…It’s certainly more efficient)
“We’ve already completed about fifty houses.”
“Oh, as expected of old man Rudo, you’re quick.”

“I’m going to start working here from today. Natsuki-chan asked me to.”
“Ah, is it for the stream, perhaps?”
“I’m not sure, but she said she wants to show the otherworlders how we work.”
In Japan, the main constructions will be facilities like blacksmiths and dining halls. Since these will also be for video recording, they plan to proceed slowly with Rudrug’s explanations.
(At this rate, the village will come together in no time.)
We have numerous talented people and plenty of high-quality materials. The location is favorable, and there’s no issue with security. My task will be to establish external relations.
Maintaining a good relationship with the government, preparing for recruiting villagers, and dealing with the student village chief and, ultimately, the two goddesses. These three points will be my main focus moving forward.
