Chapter 203: Filming the Other World. The Romance of Men Exists Too

The following day—

Despite the early morning hour, everyone was busy preparing for the livestream.

As for channel setup and such, we left it all to Juri and her team. We planned to turn our living room into a streaming studio and let them use it freely.

I don’t think a newcomer can immediately gain a high number of views by posting videos. Even if we aim to attract villagers, raising awareness comes first. So, following the proposal document created by Natsuki, we began filming videos to deliver eye-catching visuals and fresh information.

There are two highlights for the first upload.

First, we plan to film battle scenes with dungeon monsters. We’re going to shoot scenes of battles with Minotaurs and Orcs. Regarding the giant bull, the plan seems to be to just give a glimpse at the end and carry it over to the next episode.

Dribbling out information might not be the best strategy, but I think we can expect powerful visuals just with Minotaurs and Orcs, creatures not found in Japan.

The other highlight is to show the daily life scenes of the goddess’s city, Nanasia. We particularly want to focus on filming the beastmen. It may seem like a spectacle, but we intend to explain our intentions clearly and ask for their cooperation.

“At any rate… I want everyone from the beastmen to cooperate. Of course, it’s not compulsory, so there’s no need to force anyone.”

“Hmm. If that’s the case, then I’ll gladly lend my assistance. When it comes to battles with monsters, who else is better suited than a dragon person?”

“But wait, you can’t forget about the serpent folk. Of course, we’ll cooperate too.”

At the morning assembly, two volunteers stepped forward. As expected, they were the dragon person, Drago, and the serpent person, Nail. With their strong faith in the goddess, they were already fully armed and eager to go from the morning. Indeed, with the two strongest species, we can expect scenes with great impact.

However, that alone is not enough. It’s not enough with just the men. Considering the viewers’ needs, it’s almost essential for women to participate. “Scenes with just men are a no-go,” as stated in Natsuki’s proposal document.

“I see… I understand Natsuki-san’s opinion well. In that case, shall we have my wife and daughter join the battle?”

“That would be helpful. We would appreciate your cooperation.”

Additionally, Lora, the rabbit person, and Maria, the fish person, agreed to participate.

This time, we Japanese will focus on providing support from the rear to prevent our faces from being revealed. While “I’m Overpowered in Another World” may seem appealing, there’s also the risk of it being cringe worthy. We’ll gradually release footage of that aspect in the next episodes.

Regarding the scenes of daily life in the city, all the residents of Nanasia kindly agreed. We’re not forcing anything strange. We’ve explained that we’ll just be filming their usual lives.

According to Natsuki’s proposal document, it’s highlighted in red: “Make sure to film the bath scene.” But we’ll decide what to do about that later. We don’t want to risk getting banned from the channel right away, and if the content is inappropriate, monetization will become impossible.

(I’ll have to rely on the women for filming in the bath. If I do it myself, their loyalty might decrease…)

We left the battle scenes to Touya and the others, while Tsubaki and I started filming the city. Today, Drago’s son, Dolt, is with us.

“Dolt, sorry we couldn’t assign you to the dungeon area. But we really want aerial shots.”

“If it helps the village chief, I have no problem with it!”

“I appreciate it. And sorry for the request, but could you fly a little quieter? My hand shakes, and… between us, it’s a bit scary.”

Hanging from Dolo, I immediately started filming the whole city. It seems we’ll use the overhead view for the opening.

Looking at it like this, you can see that Nanasia is quite large. The barrier covering the entire city also looks like a faint dome. Since it resembles the fantasy barriers in Japan, it’s quite an effective image in terms of public interest.

“Oh, village chief, look over there!”

“What in the world… this is extremely problematic. In modern Japan, this would be a matter of arrest.”

Where Dolt was looking—was filled with men’s dreams and romance. Unexpectedly, we had a panoramic view of the outdoor bath. It’s early in the morning, so there aren’t many users, but… several men and women are relaxing in their natural state.

As I made such desperate excuses—Tsubaki’s gaze from the ground pierced through me. She shouldn’t know what I’m doing… yet she was giving me a cold, piercing look.

“Dolt, let’s return to the ground for now. It’s an emergency.”

“Huh? I don’t really understand, but… okay, I’ll hurry back!”

“Wait, the erasure of the recording hasn’t finished yet—”

Dolt suddenly descended as if shaking off my attempts to stop him. He landed safely next to Tsubaki… but it seems the deletion didn’t make it in time.

After reshooting footage from above, we proceeded to film the working scenes at the industrial facilities. Starting from the blacksmith in Beritor, we captured one after another, including construction sites with Rudrug and the village’s farm.

In addition to that, we also recorded footage of the lord’s mansion, the school, and training scenes… just to be sure, we also recorded footage of the large public bath. Of course, I only filmed the men’s bath. I left all the recording of the women’s bath to Tsubaki, and I wasn’t even allowed to check the recordings.

As it was just before noon, there weren’t many users… perhaps that makes it easier for editing? By the way, it seems the women’s bath was quite lively.

Afternoon passed, and after finishing filming, we returned to Japan once. I handed over the data we had filmed and reported the situation to Natsuki.

“Great work, Village Chief! Any problems?”

“Problems? There couldn’t possibly be any. The filming went extremely smoothly.”

“Hmm, sounds suspicious to me.”

“Anyway, how are things going on your end?”

“We’re all good here!”

It seems that the channel setup was already completed, Juri and Takeshi were already working on editing. In the background, Natsuki, with her arms crossed, exuded an air of supervision.

There was always someone talking, and the conversation never stopped. I, who had become completely unnecessary, decided to relax alone in the living room.

(If Natsuki finds out about that, it’ll be troublesome. But I think I deleted the recording, and it’s unlikely Tsubaki will spread it around. Alright, no problem. Nothing happened today.)
