Chapter 117: Baron Ambert and his wife

　Holding the magic potion with care, Miss Fabienne goes down the corridor. I quietly followed her.

　The Barons' house is not much larger than our house. It is about half the size. Even so, the walk to the Baron and his wife’s bedroom felt long.

“This is my father and mother’s bedroom. He should be sleeping here.”

　I guess it is nerve-wracking to enter a married couple’s bedroom. I am the same way. Unless I have something to do, I can’t go into my parents’ bedroom so easily.

　Taking a breath, Miss Fabienne knocked on the door. A high pitched knocking sound echoed. After a breath, the door opened. Through the crack in the door, I could see the servant's face .

“Master, Mistress, the young lady and Count Julius Heine, the son of the Margrave of the Frontier, are here to see you."  

　A bewildered air came from the other side of the door. As I waited with bated breath, Miss Fabienne opened the door and forced her way into the room without permission.

"Excuse me."

　I hurriedly followed her into the room. I was the one who made the magic potion, so I think I have an obligation to explain. Inside the room, I found a startled Lady and Baron Ambert lying on the bed.

“Well, well, I’m sorry to show you my unflattering appearance. ……”

“No, stay where you are. Miss Fabienne told me all about you.”

　Baron Ambert, who was about to raise himself up in bed, was restrained by a hand. Hearing this, Madame’s eyes seemed to lift slightly. Her eyes were looking at Miss Fabienne.

“Mother, you know that Julius-sama  taught me how to make lotion and hand cream, don’t you?”

“The magic potion that Miss Fabienne is holding in her hand is an antidote and an elementary physical recovery potion. Both of them are officially used by our knighthood. I can assure you of their quality and effectiveness.”

　I replied with a smile, trying my best to soften the air. Hearing this, Baron and Baroness Ambert stared at the magic potion in disbelief. Should I try one right here and now?　I have several bottles of elementary strength recovery Potions, but I only have one bottle of antidote.

“It's not that I doubt Julius-sama, but I’ve tried a little …… variety of magic potions and they didn’t work.”

“Baron Ambert, please drink this one too. This should relieve some of the fatigue in your body. Then just rest and you should feel better in a couple of days. If not, please write to me. I will prepare a more powerful magic potion for you.”

　I said with a puff of my nose. Baron Ambert gave me a big nod. Miss Fabienne immediately handed me the red magic potion. When I broke the seal on the bottle, I heard an exhilarating "pop" sound. I’ll drink it when I get back too.

　Baron Ambert, who looked at it as if he were looking at something mysterious, drank the magic potion with a sizzling sound.

“It's good!　I want another bottle.”

“No, sir. You mustn’t drink too much of the potion.”

　Baron Ambert, with a dejected look on his face, looked at the empty bottle with regret.
