Aeris stopped appearing the following day.
Tauro was disappointed because she had struck him as a hard worker, but perhaps she had simply returned to Dareder.
Shin and Rumeya were surprised as well.

“I did. I went back to complete the arrangements for leaving my current team so I could transfer permanently to yours.”
“What?”

“What do you mean, our team? We aren’t a team.”
Tauro answered bluntly.

“We’re learning from Tauro, but we haven’t formed a team,” Rumeya explained.
“Right. Tauro is teaching us what we need to know as adventurers,” Shin added.
“Then what am I supposed to do? I convinced the members of my old team to let me leave so I could join yours!”
Aeris panicked at the consequences of her own assumption.
“You should have asked us first.”
Tauro stated the obvious.
Aeris had no reply.
Her eyes filled with tears.
“Tauro, she was wrong, but she did it because she thought highly of us. Couldn’t you soften that a little?” Shin said, seemingly defending her while delivering the final blow.
“I know I was wrong! I’m sorry! But anyone would assume you were a team after seeing coordination like that…!”
Tears began streaming down Aeris’s face.
Tauro finally panicked.
He had never intended to make her cry and had no idea how to stop her.
Forming a team would also require Shin and Rumeya’s agreement.
