Chapter 466: On Magical Tool Street

The day after someone attempted but failed to disrupt the “Blessing Ceremony.”

The “Saint” took a day of rest, so while the others chose to stay by her side as her attendants, Tauro and his friends decided to go out into town to do some shopping.

Although the capital of Bariella was not as large as the royal capital, it was still a quite substantial town—known especially for its reputation as a hub for magical tools—which Tauro was quite intrigued by.

“Well then, I’m off to find a place to get a drink!”

Ankh declared, setting off in search of a tavern in the morning.

“Then I guess I’ll go and try some of the local specialties of this territory!”

Ragune said as he followed Ankh out, winking at Zion as she left.

At first, Zion was confused, thinking, “Huh?” but then she seemed to have realized something.

After a moment of contemplation, she exclaimed, “I’m going to look at some clothes!” and hurriedly set out after Ragune.

“‘?’”

Both Tauro and Aeris tilted their heads, puzzled by the three’s flurry of activity.

“Well then, I’ll go check out some magical tools. Maybe I’ll get some inspiration and come up with a good idea.”

“Sounds good! This capital is a city of magical tools, so I’m sure it’ll be fun. Can I come with you?”

Aeris asked kindly.

Unlike before, she didn’t seem forceful about following him, but rather adopted an attitude of wanting to join only if Tauro was okay with it.

“Of course! I’d like to hear your opinions too. Plus, if we have time, I’d like to conduct some experiments somewhere, so it would be helpful if you could stay by my side,”

Tauro replied as if recalling his past relationship with Aeris, responding in kind to the situation.

“I’m shocked… –don’t tell me you’ve been making Zion join in your experiments too?”

Aeris sighed, realizing that Tauro was still the same as always. However, she also seemed relieved that he hadn’t changed.

“Ahaha… I guess I have been having everyone join in my experiments lately. There are many dangerous aspects…”

Tauro had some experiments that he hadn’t told Aeris about, so he gave a wry smile and was vague about his answer.

“…I understand. I’ve grown up and I think I can handle your dangerous experiments better than before, so it’s fine,”

Aeris smiled at the typical Tauro and agreed.

“Well then, let’s go to ‘Magical Tool Street’ first!”

Tauro announced, taking Aeris’s hand as they ventured into the city.

Magical Tool Street was located quite far from the city’s main thoroughfare, yet it was even more teeming with people than the main street.

There were many passersby dressed as wizards, creating a slightly peculiar atmosphere for the area. in front of each store, demonstrations of homemade magical tools were taking place, and some stores had crowds of people gathered around them.

In fact, this was something that Tauro had previously discussed with the Garfish Trading Company in the royal capital to sell magical lanterns in stores, which quickly spread to the Bariella capital and leading to many imitating it.

Yes, for those who developed and sold magical tools, Tauro’s creations were revolutionary, and his sales method was an eye-opener for the shops that had previously waited for customers to come, inspiring many to adopt it.

And now this method had become a standard sales approach for the magical tool shops in the city, referred to as the “Giro Sugar Method.”

Tauro, unaware of this, watches each demonstration taking place in front of each store with shining eyes.

Tauro excitedly explains to Aeris explained the mechanisms behind the magical tools on display to Aeris.

Aeris asked Tauro questions about the things she didn’t understand, and he answered them back, and so the two of them began to thoroughly enjoy their time at Magical Tool Street.

“There are so many different ideas out there. Some of them are similar to my product.”

Tauro himself was completely unaware of this, but in the magical tool development community, Tauro’s alias, Giro Sugar, had become the center of attention as a mysterious magical tool developer who had emerged like a shining star. He was becoming an object of admiration, especially among the younger generation, as a prime example of success.

For engineers, Tauro’s products had overturned many previous notions.

That being said, the technology using the magic circles was derived from ancient techniques, and the foundational aspects of them had now vanished.

Modern technology was the result of evolving and simplifying the ancient methods over time.

Tauro had merely brought his research on magic circles from his previous life to this world, and it was fortunate that some of it was useful here as well.

In any case, Jiro Sugar had become a focal point in the magical tool industry, and the vibrancy of that industry was evident on Magical Tool Street.

There were even shops that actually sold products developed by Tauro.

They must have sourced them directly from the Garfish Trading Company.

In those shops, they excitedly advertised the cooler developed by Tauro, putting emphasis on the name Giro Sugar, as if to say that they were the first in town to sell the product.

Customers leaned in close to the cooler at the shopkeeper’s encouragement, marveling at the cold breeze that came out with a “Wow!”—a sight that brought a smile to Tauro’s face.

It’s great to see that many stores now have installed Jiro Sugar’s coolers indoors to keep their spaces cool, making them more hospitable to people.

Tauro and Aeris strolled through the lively Magical Tool Street, enjoying a fun date without even realizing it
