Chapter 7: Is it my fault?

　Hey! Saito Rio, 25 years old, bullied by the letters!　Single!　Whoever said I’m too old should come forward! I’ll hang you!

“Even though it’s on the status screen…”

　I walk through the deep green forest, muttering to myself, but I don’t come across anything.

　In times like this, isn’t it a template for trouble to come from the other side?

　There’s nothing here, hey.

“mmm~~~‥‥‥‥map”

　With a beeping sound, a ridiculously large map appeared.

“No, no, no, no, it’s too big! I don’t know where I am! Where am i?”

　As if in response to my comment, a cursor suddenly appeared and wandered around on the map, and then text appeared under the cursor that said, “Around here.” Then, “Probably.”

　───── Hey. Can I afford to? Can I?  Is the map licking my chops? Me?

“‥‥‥‥, zoom in a little more.”

　When I gave the command in a low-temperature voice, the cursor moved with a jerk, trembling and trembling─────Oh, that's right! The expansion begins like this. When the whole area was covered in green, The cursor blinked, like saying, “This is it, here it is! ” 

　What’s with that smug face (although there’s no face)?‥‥‥‥. Is it a design specification that it glows? This thing is not easy on the eyes either. There really doesn’t seem to be any towns or villages around. The whole area is green. Is it in the middle of a large forest?

“Isn’t there a river a ‥‥‥‥ river or something?”

　I said to it……! The cursor wanders around again, like “Yes, there is,” and then the screen suddenly shrunk, pointing to the existence of a river, “here, here, here!” And it flashes again.

“………..oh, yes.”

　I’m kind of tired. How can I be tired of dealing with a map?  I was thinking, I don’t really have a good sense of the distance, and I guess the direction is that way for now. ───── Oh, that’s right! The cursor starts beeping and moving around as if to say, “Is this it? Is it around here or there?”  A pond was added to the green area where I was wandering around and where there was nothing.

Hmm? What does that mean? As I wondered, the cursor moved further to where the mountain was displayed, and with a sort of “hmm, this is it’’, it rewrote the biggest mountain to a mountain that looked like it had been gouged out.

　The "Pink Mountain" indicator appeared and was replaced by "Half destroyed mountain NEW!” And re-labeled. The pond is labeled “Crater Pond NEW!”───── really. I think “Crater Pond” is where I fell. ‥‥‥‥ Well, it’s OK. It’s not my fault. I don’t know. I don’t know. Mountain…? It’s the fragile one’s fault~~~hohohoho

　I mean, this map is always updated to the latest~~ I see~~ hmmm. How about the blinking cursor? It’s beeping and beeping as if to say, “How’s that?”

“you don’t have the best taste in names.”

　It was clearly shocked by the words I blurted out, and just like that, the cursor disappeared from the map.

“Oh, am I at fault?”
