Wow imagine disliking the best character in this story. Sorry she isn’t a generic harem drone without a personality and motivations.
I normally like her but not so much in this chapter. She was rude to the head of the knights. When mc heard the info he accepted it she should have as well. Then not learning the style best suited for u because ur man can’t learn the same style, not good. She may have become to used to him being there. Also what’s with late mum I could have sworn she’s still alive
i think you’re misunderstanding. she got upset because she felt like Ren was being told he had no future… imagine, you’re a fan of an athlete, and skip bayless pops up on tv and starts saying he’s a talentless hack. her reaction is completely normal. especially to licia, he’s her goal. i bet in addition to wanting to defend his obvious skill with a sword, part of her couldn’t accept that the person who saved her life and who beat her effortlessly when they spar had no talent. that makes zero sense to her. I actually liked this chapter because she’s making an obvious kid like mistake about what the knight told ren. ren even pointed out her mistake. the knight didn’t say he was talentless. he said ren had no talent for that style of swordmenship. it’s an obvious distinction which she missed.
the mc was the one at fault all chapter though for 2 reasons, one he realized the other he didnt. he was needlessly arguing for her to keep training in the holy knight sword style. the reason he was most wrong for his is he kept thinking “she’s good enough to become a master of it”, well did that save her life in the 2nd game? nope. why the fuck is he so determaned to force her onto the same path she took in the game which lead to her doom. thankfully he realized the second problem wth his thinking… she’s not a game character, but a person with wants and desires.
it took him entirely too long to realize he was wrong. most of that chapter was him trying to change her mind, even though he was clearly in the wrong.

Also, guys, MC’s mom isn’t dead. His parents returned home to the village once it had been repaired. Due to his injuries, though, MC remained at the castle.
