By the looks of things, it would still take a while for the wounds to disappear, and it was a done deal to take care of him.
Ren huffed and puffed and let out a mumble after Lessard left.

Just recently I had a painful escape and before that I was in our shabby house.
This mansion is a magnificent place, unlike ours, where opulence and drafts are a thing of normalcy.
On the other hand, I’m a little afraid of getting used to this environment.

When Ren, who was falling into a stupor, tried to say something when large tears welled up in Licia's eyes.

The last part of the battle with Jerukku, she told him to run with all her remaining strength.
“I'm sorry. I couldn't bring myself to leave Licia-sama and run away.”

For Ren, it was fine either way as long as the topic was changed......

Then she got up from the bed.

Soon after, she turned and walked away.
"Licia-sama! Tell me one more thing!”
"Yes? What is it?”
“About the emblem on this paper, I can't remember the name of the family.”
Licia laughed at Ren's question as if she was troubled.
The other party is a high-ranking noble.
Ren knows that it is also a Royal faction.

He’s one of the opponents to fight in the Baldor Mountains.
(As I recall, he assassinated any noble who stood in his way, regardless of faction, and even assassinated the Third Prince, the genius who was being called the next emperor...)
The more I remember, the more I don't want to get involved with this noble.
However, Ren had an element of comfort.
It was the reason why Marquis Ignat rebelled against the emperor.
Before his death, Marquis Ignat reveals the reason why he did so.....
"Because you didn't help my daughter."
The ailing daughter of the marquis needed medicine.
It required a number of precious materials, and among them, the material of the Thief Wolfen was missing.
No matter how hard Marquis Ignat searched for it, he couldn’t find it, but the imperial family had it just in case.

Many players thought that perhaps they could save the Marquis’s daughter.
However, daughter of the Marquis died when the protagonists were young, and no event was prepared to save her.

The person who saved her life was Ren.

He was someone that was liked by nobles.
Ren fell into an indescribable mood and collapsed on the bed.
As he remembered, he summoned his bracelet and looked at it, The magic sword with “?” was already gone.

With both a major mid boss (the nature mage elf) and the sub-last boss (the marquis) no longer an issue, the first game seems like it would be quite empty…. Actually, it is more than that, since he himself is the (sub?) last boss of the second game. At this rate by the time the game starts there will not be any conflicts for the heroes to overcome….
But this is quite the mysterious blade. It seems to require being empowered by power drawn from the magic stone of the saint, which seemingly grows in power over time (long cool down?). I’m starting to wonder if the reason the 7th hero’s lineage died out was not because of some curse from a demon lord but instead due to not having access to the power of a saint. Maybe it can do more than just unlock a blade. Perhaps the hero of the game (who has the (other?) skill of the 7th hero) can also be empowered by a saint’s magic stone.
Although, I wonder why – unlike the Thief blade – this blade did not stay around after being unlocked. Maybe this is to prevent use of the blade unless one has the (recent) assistance of a saint?
maybe its cause unless you are basically groping the saint, and thus the bracelet is right in front of her chest, (putting bracelet right in front of a magic stone is the only way to absorb it), you cant gain access to it… then again, it is [? ? ? ?] so its not surprising we don’t have enough information to make any claims about it.
also, as Ren mentioned before, he is not the descendent of the 7th hero – the descendent of the 7th hero is from some other random nameless village, and a bit ago he was debating on telling people, but decided not to because he thought they would think he was crazy
maybe he has the demon kings blood somehow? or maybe some other mysterious character’s blood? who knows
Because the saintess is still alive, her magic stone is still inside her, so its power has not permanently been absorbed by him. I guess the reason he killed the saintess in the original 2nd chapter of the trilogy was to have access to that power at all times. Don’t forget this story is a trilogy, and those who died or were a major issue were from the 1st chapter, and the MC knows nothing of the 3rd chapter because he reincarnated before it came out on his original world.
You are wrong tbh, you have to assume the bosses are not really a threat to MC, because he was the antagonist of the story. Rather all the heroes are still alive, heroes that will come to kill him at one point in time.
im not sure why you think that. The saintess power unlocked a new blade, yes, but why assume not having that made the lineage die down? All this means is that he and his bloodline skill can use things like crystalized energy sources to gain more power, even new swords. Nothing more or less. We dont even know if someone from that bloodline ever KNEW about the saints having a crystal in their bodies, or interacted with them enough to discover that those crystals can unlock new powers in them even if they did know.
Just claim her and have the most OP sacred sword at his disposal.
It reminds me of the history in early medieval Ireland, where Irish lords would marry Scot noblewomen solely because a great part of their dowries that came with them was a company of gallowglass guardsmen, which were Scot-Norse axe-wielding bodyguards known for their military prowess, in order to use them in their fights against other lords.
So yeah, agreed, Ren should just claim her and get an OP sacred sword in the bargain, and, quite possibly, become the next Baron Clausel with her as his bride. Unless the Marquis’ daughter is the waifu?? I really hope it’s not a harem. That’ll be SOOOOO annoying. -_-
Thinking about it, he pretty much pulled an Utena with Licia. xD
Seems like he probably killed her in the future/other timeline in order to get the magic stone.
I think i see the general picture of the game…
the nobel faction who were supposed to be in favor of the king; were mostly lead by this ignat character; who betrayed the nobel faction and lead part of it into joining some shady attempt to resurrect the demon king. (due to the death of his daughter)
the heroes faction had some need for Ren; and were working to actively kill off part of the neutral faction and control Ren. In the game, the hero’s faction somehow killed ren’s father likely his mother, and slaughtered his village, but the saintess’s family brought him to her home… which i suspect is where he was raised. I think the reason why the saintess of the white was not romancible is likely due to the fact she was in love with Ren already in the story (he’s not a playable character but the best friend of the hero)
what i suspect happened is Ren learns the hero’s faction of which he’s been a part in the 2nd game while pailing along with the hero was responsible for his father’s and probably mothers and towns death. likely around the time of the mid boss fight against the elf demon beast master. he probably discovered the connection to the hero faction and also to his father’s death. this is what caused him to start to plot against the player character (hero), and likely his whole faction.
It’s unknown what happens next but my guess is the saintess is killed by the hero faction off screen (unknown to the hero); Ren, unable to save her, heart broken and filled with vengence takes the stone from her chest giving him that god/demon blade, so we see the hero come across the broken ren carrying licia with the bloody wound on her chest and blood covering him making it look like he killed her. and thats where the 2nd game ends.
I suspect the story is something like this. this would mean in the unpublished 3rd game, Ren would either be the middle boss or the end boss. Middle boss if their misunderstanding gets cleared. end boss if it doesn’t, making the story end in a tragity.
I see, so the reason og Ren killed Lícia was probably because of the Sacred sword huh…
I wonder if he was in love with her but had to do it in order to become stronger or something like that
