Chapter 43: A Whirlwind Month
Tauro had been busy ever since returning to Saisi.
Production of the limited editions had been entrusted to craftsmen in the royal capital, but Paulo suggested that Tauro create unique, one-of-a-kind boards.
They would have even greater added value, and because each would be a single custom piece, Tauro could make them whenever his schedule allowed.
Naturally, they couldn’t be sold under Tauro’s own name, so they decided to stamp them with the name of a fictitious maker: “Girosugar.”
Tauro began by making five original boards. He presented three to Prince Fleue, Prime Minister Barriera, and the Viscount of Saisi. The remaining two were displayed in Garfish Trading Company shops under the Sugar brand.

Tauro had also risen to E-rank as an adventurer and struggled daily to adjust to his new quests.

Tauro stabbed two more with his short sword. The final two cowered even further, and he exploited the opening to charge them.
They fell before they could put up any meaningful resistance.
Thanks to [Prestige], Tauro completed a goblin subjugation that would ordinarily have been difficult for a solo adventurer.
He also devoted considerable effort to developing new dishes for the Yasuragi Inn.
He had brought back large quantities of ingredients, spices, and sugar from the royal capital.
The first dish he attempted was curry, practically a national food of Japan.
Tauro remembered eating it in his former life but had never tasted it in this world. Since rice was available, it was something he desperately wanted to eat.
His enthusiasm surged, but developing curry powder proved harder than he had imagined, and finding the right blend was a struggle.
The distinctive scent of spices filled the guild kitchen day and night. When it drifted into the surrounding area, complaints arrived that the place stank.
After half a month of sweat, tears, and runny noses, the curry was finally complete.

One day, a month after Tauro’s return, he was invited to the residence of the Viscount of Saisi.
The viscount wanted a lesson in Reversi.
He could hardly avoid meeting the Reversi prodigy from his own territory now that the boy had become famous among the nobles of the royal capital.
Whenever the viscount visited the capital, high-ranking nobles asked him, “Is Master Satou well?”
Apparently, a boy from his territory had become famous without his knowledge.
The viscount had answered, “Yes, of course he is!” Later, he learned from those around him that Satou was close to both the fifth prince and the prime minister.

After a brief Reversi lesson and some friendly conversation, Tauro returned home. The viscount was soon buried in all the work he had postponed for Reversi and promptly forgot about the Satou boy again.
