In response to the goddess's voice, I finally felt the victory.

I suddenly gained a significant amount of experience points, jumping three levels at once. Seeing that number, I realized, belatedly, how formidable an opponent the Minotaur had been.

At the same time, I understood that the crisis had passed, and I felt a sudden relief. 

The instructor walked towards me as I barely stood.

"Thank you, Haruto. Without you, we would undoubtedly have been wiped out. I truly appreciate it."

The instructor deeply bowed. Feeling embarrassed by the earnest expression of gratitude, I instinctively averted my gaze.

"By the way, it's quite unusual to have a boss in a dungeon that's already been cleared, don't you think?" 

I said, scratching my head, trying to change the subject.

The next day, Lindy, Jade, and I returned to the guild to receive our licenses. 

As we entered the building at the agreed-upon time, the three of us were led to separate rooms.

In the room, the instructor was already waiting.

"First, allow me to apologize to the three of you. I deeply regret putting you in danger during the tutorial quest."

The instructor began with these words and bowed deeply.

"It's totally fine, but do you know the cause of the boss appearing?"

I asked, and the instructor shook their head.

"At the moment, we haven't been able to grasp why such a thing occurred. I will report this to the Royal Knights and investigate. If I find out anything, I will certainly share it."

Saying that, I accepted the license.

"You brilliantly handled a situation that even I, as an instructor, might have struggled with. In truth, your performance was worthy of a C-rank license, but the guild's higher-ups decided that a three-rank promotion is a bit too much. I apologize."

"No, no, a D-rank is more than enough..."

I had set a goal to become an A-rank adventurer within a year. However, promotion exams are only held a maximum of twice a year, so I needed to aim for special promotions at least three times. In that context, skipping F and E ranks from the beginning was a significant advantage.
