Chapter 6: Guide

“Hmm~, so Noah-sama is going to live here.”

After finishing my morning duties, I was telling Vigna about Noah. No, there's nothing wrong with it, but I don't want her to get the wrong idea. I want to talk about it. It’s natural, but Vigna seems to like Noah. I’ve been left behind!!

“I'm going to show her around the village and see if she's up to it. Will you come along?”

"No, I'm good. I have to shoo Neil and the others away..... But yes.... don't move a bit.”

“Hmm? What are you......? Uuooo.”

When Vigna unbuttoned my clothes, she put her lips on the bottom of my nape and sucked on it. What the hell was she thinking? And as soon as her lips parted, the saliva glistened seductively.

She nodded in satisfaction and wiped the saliva from my neck and her own lips with her handkerchief.

“That's it. Well, I'm off."

With that, she left the room, looking satisfied. When I looked in the mirror, I saw that she had left a hickey in a perfect position, which was invisible if I was wearing clothes, but visible if I messed up my collar a little. I'm pretty sure she'd be pissed if I married someone else. ......

With this thought in mind, I left my room and headed for Noah's place. The study that no one was using was her work room.

I knocked on her door and found that she had cleaned the room herself, so there was not a speck of dust in the room and the desk was lined with neatly organized stacks of papers. The light shone through the window as she faced the papers with a serious face which was beautiful and intelligent, perhaps because she had a good face.

As I was admiring her for a moment, Noah noticed me and greeted me with a gentle smile.

"Good evening, Grace-sama.”

"Good work, Noah. How is your work going? If there's anything you don't understand, don't hesitate to ask.”

“Thank you very much. How about this?"

The contents she showed me were perfect. She was mainly doing the bookkeeping and summarizing things that had happened in the territory, but to be honest, it was a lot easier to understand than what I was doing and she worked a lot faster.

Speaking of which, I remembered that she had always been quick-witted. If she’s not interested in marriage and she’s talented, there are better places for her to go. Why did she come to such a place...... I'm a little wary of her.

“Wow… You’re working faster than I expected, I can show you around the village if you like. It wouldn't hurt to know where you're going to be living, right?"

I still didn't know what Noah was thinking as she smiled and replied in such a friendly manner. I secretly asked Galatea for a favor and left the house.

“Here are the famous potatoes of my territory. Hey, Johnny, how's work going?"

"Oh, Grace-sama! Of course it is going fine. Thanks to the new fertilizer, we now have more potatoes that restore magic power! I'm pretty sure this will make Edward’s trading company happy again. Hey, that lady over there......."

The new fertilizer Johnny was referring to was the fire dragon that Galatea had defeated. It's not as good as the ancient fire dragon, but it restores magic power as Vigna reported.

Well, it's not a secret anymore about the potatoes that restore magic power. So there's no problem talking about it in front of her.

“Oh, she's Noah Cassius, the new immigrant. She's a noblewoman, so don't be rude or you'll be beheaded.”

"Eh..... Cassius is.....”

“Grace-sama...... I came here as an immigrant. Please treat me as just Noah, not Noah-Cassius."

Johnny tensed up at my words, but then Noah smiled and he smiled back. He's an easy guy.

“But is this the potato that recovers magic power? I’ve heard rumors about it, but is it really true?　Normally, you'd have to drink the bad tasting potion, but ......"

“Oh, then you should try eating it later when you use magic. Keep it up Johnny.”

“Of course! Please come again, Noah!”

I looked at Noah, smiling at Johnny who was laughing all smithen like. Hmm, I'm not too sure, she's still smiling so calmly. ......

I stared at the part where I caught a glimpse of a figure in the distance, and I saw Galatea do an "X". It looks like it’s a miss.

Aren’t you interested in potatoes?  You're not interested in Galatea, are you? ......

With that in mind, I continued to guide her.
