Chapter 299: A New Mission
The date for the party was set for one month later.
Rest thought it was a bit early to begin preparations, but Viola and Primula were already in full swing.
Since noble parties are usually grand in scale, it’s not unusual to start preparing well in advance.
The manor was bustling with people constantly coming and going, working in a flurry.

“What are you planning to do, Rest?”

While the Rosemary sisters were busy with party preparations, Rest had stepped out of the manor with Yuri, who seemed to be at a loose end.

Viola and Primula were working with great energy, giving directions to the servants they had brought from the Rosemary Marquis household, all while looking lively and motivated.

Rest had thought it since they first met—she’s way too carefree for a noble daughter.
“So that’s why you’re just wandering around town, huh?”

“Yeah. I’m going to gather ingredients for the food we’ll serve at the party.”
A large variety of food would be served at the party.
The ingredients and chefs were to be sent by the Rosemary Marquis house.
However, since this would be the first-ever party held by the newly formed Clover County, Rest wanted to include rare dishes and fine liquor that weren’t commonly available.
“I asked if there was anything I could help with, and they asked me to go find rare ingredients and drinks. They said as long as I take care of that, everything else is fine.”
“I see, I see… but are you sure they didn’t just assign you that to get rid of you?”

Yuri struck a painful chord.
Rest had kind of suspected that.
Since there was really nothing else for him to do, maybe they’d just made up a task to give him.

In any case, this was something Viola and Primula had personally asked him to do.
That meant he needed to give it his all.
“They said rare ingredients, but of course I can’t serve something weird to the guests. So I thought I’d do a little research first.”
“How about monster meat? Worms are great, you know?”
“I just said nothing weird! …Well, monster cuisine might actually be a good idea.”
Yuri aside, some monster meats are considered delicacies and quite popular.
While some might find it off-putting, having one or two exotic dishes could be a nice touch.

Yuri replied with a bright, beaming smile.
She had slightly strange tastes, but if Yuri said something was delicious, it never disappointed.
Rest had no doubt she would come through in securing exotic ingredients.
