Chapter 289: The Land Where It All Begins
With the Crazy Apes exterminated, the group secured the location that would become their future base.
Once the fire had completely died down, they investigated the area where the Crazy Apes had built their nest — and there, they discovered several human bones, clearly different from those of monkeys.

Using his Presence Detection spell, Rest confirmed that no Crazy Apes remained in the area. It seemed they had indeed eliminated every last one.
“Rest, I checked out the area, and as we thought… this place really is ideal for setting up a base.”
“It’s plenty spacious. There’s a water source nearby, and the soil is fertile. I think we could build a proper town here.”
Viola and Yuri said as they returned from their survey of the surroundings.
If not for the presence of the Crazy Apes, this land would have already been considered perfect for settlement.
The land was vast, the location highly convenient, and it was close to the Rosemary Territory. If a proper road was built, they could facilitate the flow of people and goods.

“If we’re placing a temple here, then the marketplace should go over there… No, wait — considering water channels, the commercial area might be better on that side.”
