Chapter 377: Activating [Berserker]
After regaining his composure, Tauro presented Zion with the equipment he had prepared as a welcome gift from Black-Gold Wings.
“You made these especially for me? This is the first present I’ve received from anyone except my mother. I’m so happy…”
Tears gathered in Zion’s eyes while accepting the gauntlets and leather armor.
“You’re only slightly taller than I’m, so I chose a size based on my own measurements and allowed a little room for growth. I can adjust it later. What matters most is that you can move comfortably.”
Tauro then pointed to the gauntlets.

Before Tauro could intervene, Zion equipped the left gauntlet and walked into the garden.

As Zion experimented, the mist changed from the hooded outfit into casual clothes, then briefly into a one-piece dress, and finally back into the hooded form.
Tauro noticed the dress but decided that another person’s taste in clothing was none of his business.

Zion brought the gauntlets together without hesitation.

Light erupted from the right gauntlet while darkness flowed from the left. The Two-Headed Holy-Dark Beast Leather Armor reacted to both forces.
The hooded figure vanished inside black mist and transformed into an enormous black cat.
“Zion, are you all right?”

For an instant, Zion directed overwhelming murderous intent toward the approaching Tauro. Recognition returned almost immediately, and Zion relaxed and moved closer like an affectionate cat.
“This seems… safe now, perhaps?” Tauro asked uncertainly.
Ankh slowly released the hilt of his sword.
“For a moment, that killing intent was extraordinary. Zion appears calm again.”
Ragune had already drawn her spear from [Magic Storage], ready to protect Tauro. She lowered it once Zion’s hostility disappeared.
“Even under [Berserker], Zion still recognizes and trusts you.”
Drago stood nearby with a short staff prepared for magic.
“Please avoid destroying our garden while testing dangerous abilities, Lord Tauro.”
“Zion, deactivate [Berserker].”
Tauro gently stroked the giant cat’s head.
Zion’s body returned to human form, and the armor settled into its hooded appearance.
“I’m sorry, Lord Tauro. The ability swallowed my consciousness for a moment. I understand the sensation now, so I think I can control it next time.”
Zion’s eager tone suggested an intention to use the dangerous ability in real combat.
“We’ll practice it several times under supervision before you consider that.”
The tests confirmed that both pieces of equipment were well suited to Zion, although [Berserker] clearly required careful training.
