Chapter 307: The Revival of Black-Gold Wings
Using Ragune’s [Dimensional Corridor] together with Tauro’s [Spatial Transfer], the entire team reached the home shared by Drago and Ragune in the dragonfolk village. It was the first time in quite a while that all of them had visited together.
Before they could enjoy the reunion, the village garrison detected several arrivals from outside and hurried to the house.
“We expected one of the reactions to be Tauro, but there were several, so we came to confirm. Tauro’s companions, welcome back to the village.”
The captain then led the garrison back to its duties.
“Let’s meet the escort team assigned to me and head to the dungeon.”
Now accustomed to life in the village, Tauro naturally guided the others.

Ankh sounded far more excited than Tauro had expected.

“I’m sorry. Everyone wanted to see the dungeon, so I brought them.”
Since the dragonfolk were responsible for protecting him, Tauro felt slightly guilty about increasing the number of people involved.
“Today is only a pickup and return trip. That should present no problem, especially with us prepared for emergencies. Your companions also appear confident in their abilities. Ragune seems to have improved considerably since we last saw her.”

“How does it handle, Ragune? Is it truly as good as people say?”
The escorts crowded around the shield as they walked.
“It’s light, durable, and excellent in every way. Tauro’s modification also added a special ability that lets me protect him and the others.”
Ragune proudly demonstrated.

When she channeled magical power into the shield, a broad translucent barrier expanded before the group.
“Amazing!”
The escorts stared in admiration.
“That resembles an ability used by the advanced [Holy Shield Knight] class.”
“The range is smaller, but it’s almost perfectly sized to protect a single team.”

Their sincere praise made Ragune beam.

Ankh nodded beside her.
Aeris had been lost in thought, but she reacted to Ragune’s words and nodded as well.
“Today we’re only accompanying Tauro, but Black-Gold Wings has been revived.”
She tried to raise everyone’s spirits.
