Chapter 309: Battle with the Dark Great Wolf

"Darn it! This is a 'Top Floor Creature!' Hold off on healing for now and deal with the monster!" The healing member of the escort team chose to confront the monster before tending to Saran's injuries.

Salman desperately pleaded.

Just then, Tauro and Eris rushed over from behind and started casting healing magic to treat Saran.

Quickly, Ank used his Great Sword's wind slash to weaken the force of the Dark Breath, and Ragune temporarily blocked it with her shield's special effect, "Area Defense."

As they bought some time, Eris cast a barrier spell, completely blocking the Dark Great Wolf's Dark Breath.

With a coordinated effort, they managed to fend off the monster's attack. Tsugumu confirmed this with a sidelong glance and felt relieved.

"Let's focus on the Dark Great Wolf! The backline should focus on healing the status ailments, and the frontline should continue attacking!" Tsugumu ordered.

"Yes!"

Everyone in Team Tsugumu, despite suffering from the effects of the Dark Breath, bravely faced the Dark Great Wolf and continued their assault.

The status ailments caused by the Dark Breath were particularly troublesome. It included blindness, paralysis of limbs, and, most dangerously, a potent poison.

Even for a dragonfolk like Tauro with "Complete Poison Resistance," "Status Ailment Resistance," and "Blessing of the Dark Spirits (Weak)," this poison posed a significant threat. Salman, who was holding Saran in his arms, was also being affected by the poison.

If an S-class hero like him couldn't endure it, it showed just how powerful this poison was.

Tauro gently separated Saran from Salman and directly applied detoxification potions to her, chanting status ailment recovery magic to cleanse the poison.

Eris also cast detoxification magic one after another, trying to raise Saran's resistance.

Then, in the next moment, it would bite or attack with its front paws to intimidate Team Tsugumu, but it never fully committed to the fight.

It was a cautious movement that allowed it to avoid attacks at any time.

The backline of the escort team would have liked to use attack magic, but they were too busy dealing with the status ailment recovery caused by the Dark Breath in the frontline members.

If they could somehow stop the Dark Breath, they could turn the tide. Tauro decided to take the initiative and moved forward.
