Chapter 191: Another Heroic Legend…
While the main force led by the C-plus team Wolf Fang desperately held the ogre horde in place from the front, Bob’s group attacked from the left flank and steadily reduced the monsters’ numbers.
After seeing how effective Bob and the other experienced fighters were, Aeris shifted from offensive magic to support magic, strengthening the adventurers in the C-rank band.
That allowed Tauro to concentrate on covering the front line with his bow. His exceptional accuracy repeatedly interrupted the ogres’ attacks and inflicted wounds wherever openings appeared.
At first, Tauro aimed for vital points and tried to kill the monsters outright. The ogres, however, were no stationary targets.
They quickly recognized the danger of his powerful light arrows and began dodging them or knocking them aside with their weapons.
“As expected of monsters specialized in physical combat. They aren’t going to make this easy.”
Tauro changed tactics.
Instead of firing obvious, straight shots, he hid behind his companions and curved his arrows around them, attacking from the ogres’ blind spots.
The monsters couldn’t respond in time. Arrows pierced their legs, arms, shoulders, and thighs one after another, steadily robbing them of mobility and fighting strength.
The ogres, which had been holding their ground, finally began to give way.
The adventurers hadn’t escaped injury, however.
Many of the lower-ranked fighters had suffered serious or minor wounds, and Tauro couldn’t leave his position long enough to treat them directly.
Even in Dansas, where medicinal herbs were plentiful, few adventurers carried magic-restoration potions because of their high cost.
While continuing to cover Bob and the others, Tauro began throwing healing potions toward wounded adventurers some distance away.
Thanks to the extraordinary dexterity granted by his abilities, he shattered each bottle in midair directly above its intended target, pouring the potion over the injured fighter and healing the wounds.
Glass fragments also rained down, but under the circumstances, everyone would have to tolerate that small inconvenience.
Aeris stared in surprise at Tauro performing such a trick while still shooting at the enemy. She quickly drank the magic-restoration potion he had given her and renewed the strengthening magic on Bob and the other front-line fighters.
Tauro’s remarkable support allowed the main formation to hold without collapsing.
Meanwhile, Bob’s group finished eliminating the ogres on the left flank and cut into the center of the enemy formation.
The ogre horde was now clearly at a disadvantage.
Once Bob’s group attacked from the rear, the monsters could no longer maintain a coherent defense.
Bob’s magic sword was exceptionally sharp, and his skill with it made every successful strike potentially fatal.
The outcome of the battle was decided.
The remaining ogres were isolated, surrounded, and cut down one after another. Before long, the entire horde had been exterminated.
The moment victory was certain, exhausted adventurers collapsed wherever they stood.
They had won, but most had reached the limits of their strength.
Bob didn’t stop to rest. Instead, he headed directly into the village.
“Tauro, come with me!”
Tauro and Aeris immediately followed. They understood that villagers who had failed to escape might still be alive among the ruins.
Tauro gave Bob and Aeris several rare intermediate- and advanced-grade potions, and the three separated to search for survivors.
Unfortunately, most of the villagers caught in the attack were already dead.
Bob nevertheless found two people whose wounds could still be treated in time.
Their survival was nothing short of miraculous.
Bob used one of Tauro’s advanced potions to stabilize their otherwise fatal injuries. Tauro rushed over and continued the treatment with additional medicine, while Aeris supported them with healing and strengthening magic.
One of the survivors was the village chief.
He had remained behind to protect the other residents and had continued resisting until the adventurers arrived.
When the chief regained consciousness, he thanked Bob repeatedly for saving his life.
After learning Bob’s name, he became even more emotional. Bob was already known throughout the neighboring settlements as the Hero of Dansas.
By the end of the battle, Bob had personally defeated more ogres than anyone else.
The other adventurers openly admitted that the expedition might have failed without him.
“No,” Bob replied modestly. “Everyone weakened them first. I only delivered the finishing blows.”
His humility only increased the admiration directed toward him.
Tauro, who had witnessed Bob’s fighting at close range, added his own enthusiastic praise.
“Without Bob’s work, I believe we’d eventually have been overwhelmed.”
“Tauro, you accomplished just as much from the rear,” Bob insisted. “Many of us survived because of your support.”
Bob wanted everyone to understand how much the dependable boy had contributed, but the others interpreted his words as yet another example of the hero generously sharing credit.
And so another great deed was added to the ever-growing legend of Bob, the Hero of Dansas.

“The adventurers, who had managed to hold their own, began to lose ground.” I think that should be “The ogres…”. Thanks for all the hard work!
this trope used quite few times, became repeatative. MC should get some limelight. and when mc skill going to unlock ? it’s been almost 200 chapter.
