Chapter 335: Greenhouse Expansion Plan
Fabienne and I were feeding each other pieces of cake when Rosalia entered the greenhouse with Lelie.
“Ah! Brother Julius and Sister-in-law Fabienne are being affectionate again!”
“Have your lessons finished, Rosalia? Would you like some cake?”
“Yes, please!”
Studying had left her hungry, and perhaps she also hoped to ignore what she had just witnessed. Lelie's bright-red face proved that impossible.
“Rosalia, I am thinking of building another greenhouse. What do you think?”
“A new one? You are not simply going to enlarge this greenhouse?”
“That is right. I want to divide their purposes. This one can remain a flower greenhouse for you, while the new one becomes an herb greenhouse for potion ingredients.”
“Must they be separate?”
Rosalia looked up at me imploringly. She clearly disliked the idea, so I would have to explain it properly.
“I want to perform various experiments while growing herbs, and some of the details should remain secret. Family members seeing them would not matter, but other people visit this greenhouse.”
“Is your current experimental area too small?”
Rosalia pointed towards one corner of the greenhouse. The space was roughly the size of two tatami mats.
It was cramped: too small for crossbreeding, testing newly discovered plants, or growing trees. Most of all, I wanted a Chigo fruit tree and an unlimited supply of ripe fruit. Heh heh heh.
“Brother Julius…”
“Lord Julius…”
“Sorry. Was I making a strange face?”
Rosalia and Fabienne silently nodded.
I had become carried away, but a larger greenhouse meant more ingredients, experiments, and potions. The possibilities were endless.
“I understand,” Rosalia said. “Even after the new greenhouse is built, please visit this one sometimes.”
“Of course. Whenever I come to the greenhouses, I will make sure to stop here as well.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.”
Rosalia had feared that I would stop visiting the flower greenhouse. That would never happen; it was ideal for dates, tea, and admiring the flowers.
After returning to the estate, I carefully stored and processed the harvested herbs in the compounding room. A servant then informed me that Brother Alex and Sister-in-law Daniela had returned.
Fabienne and I went to see them immediately.
They had worked hard all day, so I brought two basic stamina-recovery potions.
“Welcome home, Brother Alex, Sister-in-law Daniela. I brought you basic stamina-recovery potions.”
“Thank you, Julius. This is exactly what I needed.”
“Thank you, Julius.”
They accepted the bottles and immediately settled into attentive postures, plainly guessing that I wanted something.
“What is it?” Brother Alex asked. “It is still much too early to discuss your wedding.”
“Oh my.”
“Fabienne and I will proceed in the proper order. You and Sister-in-law Daniela should hurry and hold your own wedding first.”
My counterattack left them flustered. Serves them right. When Fabienne's face turned scarlet, I instinctively stepped in front of her.
“More importantly, please look at this. We want to place a mark on the potions sold through the Heine Trading Company.”
“Oh? Excellent work, Julius. We had the same idea.”
“We planned to consult the family after returning to the estate.”
Brother Alex's eyes widened slightly, while Sister-in-law Daniela smiled.
Naturally, the head of the trading company and his future wife had considered the same problem.
They readily approved the design.
“I see. You based the mark on the House Heine crest,” Brother Alex said. “Anyone who sees it will immediately know that House Heine guarantees the product.”
“And no one should dare copy it,” Sister-in-law Daniela added. “Oh! We could incorporate the royal crest as well.”
“That may be going too far.”
“Do you think so?”
Sister-in-law Daniela looked disappointed, but placing the royal crest on an ordinary potion would make people afraid even to touch it.
We could no longer sell it cheaply, and a basic recovery potion might become a luxury item.
Although, viewed from another angle, perhaps that could become a separate product someday…
“For now, let us use the design Julius and the others created,” Brother Alex said. “If circumstances change, we can consider adding the royal crest later.”
“Very well!”
Brother Alex had stepped in at exactly the right moment.
Sister-in-law Daniela gave him a brilliant smile, which he returned with practised ease. I would have turned bright red in his position.
“Then let us design a separate mark together, just in case,” he said. “We should not rely on Julius and the others for everything.”
Sister-in-law Daniela happily clung to his arm. Were they really going to behave so affectionately in front of me?
Perhaps feeling competitive, Fabienne stepped out from behind me and hugged my arm.
I did not understand how this had become a contest, but neither Brother Alex nor I complained.

These two brothers sure are lucky.
