Chapter 201: A New Magic Tool Flag?

　The next morning, as soon as I finished breakfast, I wrote a letter to Daniela-sama. The contents of the letter were about the improvement period of the icehouse that I had discussed with them yesterday. If it is to be completed by the end of the social season, I can afford to work on it with plenty of time.

　However, if I have to rush it, I will have to temporarily stop swordsmanship and magic training to work on it. It depends on the king’s decision. This should still be directed from the top.

“What do you guys do in the morning?”

“If doing laundry or cleaning was easier, it would be easier for my mother too.”

　Axel glances at me as he says this.

“I don’t make washing machines or vacuum cleaners or anything like that!”

　Ijidol said in a relaxed manner. He seems to be very relaxed. It’s much better than being tense all the time, he doesn’t look so stiff. I’m sure the look on my face right now is one of bewilderment.

“I might make it someday when I get around to it. But for now, my focus should be on the icehouse in front of me.”

“I’m looking forward to that day. My mother will be happy.”

　Was this on purpose or by accident? Axel is pushing me a lot.  I guess I’m in a lot of trouble. In my house, the servants clean everything up, so I was reluctant to take on that job, but I think there may be many people in need of help.

　Just as I was settling down after I finished writing the letter, my brother Alex came in. The fact that he came to the castle so early in the morning suggests that he was very worried about me. Don’t worry, everything is fine.

“Good morning, brother.”

“Good morning, Julius. Good morning Axel and Ijidol, too. Looks like nothing went wrong.”

“Good morning. Nothing happened.”

　The older brother nods with a smile at their reply. The fact that he doesn’t ask me directly is disgusting. It doesn’t matter, he’s come just at the right time.

"Brother, I would like you to give this letter to Daniela-sama. It’s regarding the improvement period for the icehouse."

“Improvement period?　I see, you mean whether it is urgent or not. I understand. I’ll make sure I deliver it to her.”

　Everything else will change depending on the reply to this letter. I wonder if the two of them will be disappointed if I can’t participate in training for a while.

　Oh, that’s right, once the panacea is completed, I should be able to use my morning hours to improve the icehouse, right? That’s something to consider.

　In the meantime, I’ve decided to spend today as usual. Axel and Ijidol are going to stick with me until the end of the morning today. Even if I go home now, I’ll just have to help out, and I feel like I’m missing out by going back and forth between home and the castle so many times.

“Then I’ll go with you. I’d like to see what kind of condition it’s in. Yes, Well, maybe I should invite Daniela-sama to join us as well.”

“It’s best not to. The smell isn’t very pleasant.”

　When I said this, Axel and Ijidol’s faces crumpled. They must have remembered that peculiar smell. Brother, seeing this, must have sensed it, too, because he smiled bitterly.

　When I went to the compounding room with my brother, there was still an unpleasant smell.

“Good morning. Is everything all right?”

“Good morning, Julius-sensei. There are no problems, but it’s a little difficult to work in shifts…”

“Do you all want to take turns?”

“Yes, sir.”

　What is going on? It’s good that everyone is enthusiastic, but I guess the people who should be taking a break are probably still in the compounding room instead of taking a break. I think we should make a shift schedule here.

　I can’t put an additional burden on everyone, so I go around to each team and record their individual work hours. Okay, I have a general idea.

“Since you all don’t want to take a break voluntarily, I will force you to take a break. The first person whose name is called will go to the next rest room to get some sleep. The next person whose name is called will take a bath and then eat.”

　In this way, I gave detailed instructions. The royal court potion masters followed my orders obediently. Is that okay? I wonder if it’s okay. Should I have chosen a leader for each team?　I’ll try that next time.

　Brother Alex nodded his head in admiration as he watched me give crisp instructions. Um, I’m in trouble. ……

　When I talked to  Brother Alex about taking a break, he took me to a common room that only high-ranking nobles could use. While the three of us were drinking tea together, Daniela-sama came in.

“I heard you wanted to talk to me.”

“I apologize for the trouble I’ve caused you.”

“It’s all right. I’m glad you’ve come to rely on me.”

　she must have really meant it. He presented the letter to Daniela-sama, who gave him a soft smile. When she finished reading the letter, she handed it to my brother who was sitting next to her.

“I will check with His Majesty the King regarding this matter. He didn’t seem to be in a hurry, so I don’t think you need to worry.”

“I see. I appreciate that.”

　Apparently, there is no need to cut back on training time. The two of them let out a relieved breath, perhaps realizing this. Do you really want to train with me that badly? Come to think of it, the only time I get to train is during the social season. I don’t have much time left.
