Chapter 184: Take the initiative.

　The carriage seems to have arrived in front of the school. There is a knock on the carriage door, and brother is showing his student handbook to what appears to be a guard who had come over. I didn’t know such a thing existed. It’s my first time seeing it.

　After that, the carriage started moving again.

“You have a student handbook?. I’ve never seen one before.”

“It proves that you are a student of the school.”

　He said and showed me his student handbook. I don’t know how it works, but it has what looks like a picture of his face on it. Were there cameras in this world?

“Brother, what is going on with this picture of your face?”

“Oh, that. You will be surprised when you see it for the first time. It is painted by our resident artist. It’s a good likeness, isn’t it?”

“Yeah. This is my younger brother Julius. I had something to do and brought him along.”

　The three of them stare at me seriously. Little Alex. Do I really look that much like my brother? I thought I was completely different.

“How do you do? I am Julius Heine.”

“Nice to meet you. I’ve heard a lot about you.”

　　I was curious about what stories were going around, but we exchanged greetings and sat down at the massive table placed directly in the center of the room. It looked vintage. It was polished and shining brightly.

“How many students in this academy have cold symptoms?"

“One or two in each class, I guess. I guess Alex-senpai was also concerned about it.”

“Oh well. Do any of them have worsening symptoms? I do know of one person already.”

　The three people sitting in front of me looked at each other with wide eyes. Seeing that no one had answered the question, it seemed that this was the first time they had heard of this story.

“I’m sorry. We haven’t investigated the symptoms of students who are absent.”

"I see. It's fine if it’s the student who commute from their parents' homes, but you should check on students who live in dormitories. It seems like this cold can cause lung disease."

　A silence fell over the room. The faces of the three people stiffened. They must not have expected this. They probably believe that there’s no magic potion to cure lung disease.

“Well, there already is a magic potion that cures lung disease. It’s just that the creator himself is worried that maybe it’s a different illness.”

　He said that and looked at me. Now all three of them looked astonished. Their faces clouded. Anyway, why would brother hint about this to these three? He wouldn’t want to cause a fuss, right?

"That's why you brought Julius-kun here. Understood. I'll give Julius-kun a permit to tour the school. With that, he can freely enter and leave the school at any time. Right. So, what about that magic potion?”

　I see, it seems that my brother wanted to make sure that there would be no problems with me hanging around the academy. Or maybe he wanted to make it easier to dispatch me to the school in the future when the number of patients increases?　This seems more likely.

"Unfortunately, we only have one magic potion on hand right now that is effective against lung disease. But, if you need it, I'm sure Julius will make some additional cold medicine for you."

　My brother is looking at me. Well, I guess there’s no problem.

　This story will probably be conveyed to Daniela-sama through him, and from there it will reach His Majesty the King's ears. If that happens, for the time being I'll be making magic potions for colds and lung diseases.

“I will cooperate as much as I can.”

“You are very strong, just like Alex-senpai.”*

“Is that so?　Well, Julius has always been very unchildlike. Maybe it’s because I didn’t play with him as much as I should have.”

“That’s not true.”

　The three of them giggled and laughed. The air in the room, which had become heavy, seemed to lighten a little. This is how my older brother controlled the atmosphere of the room. The former student council president is no joke.

“Well then, please excuse me. I’ll come back here when I’m done with my business.”

"Okay. By then, we will confirm the current situation of the students and prepare the school tour permits."

“I’m counting on you. My lovely juniors.”

　Saying that, he got up from his seat. I hurriedly got up from my seat too and bowed to the three of them before following my brother. Next stop is brother Cain’s  place. Personally, this is where the real battle begins.
