While saying this, Lang lifted his hips from the horse to get a closer look. He asks Fleet to halt the formation, and then he too pulled his horse up next to Lang’s to get a better look.

Each of them muttered something, but it seemed certain that they were the women who had been the subject of the investigation. The site is suddenly set in motion and we start to move quickly to prepare blankets and water.

I guessed that those girls were probably the ones who had been reported missing by the village, and then I realized something.
