Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 12 “Ore Zak Zaku!”

“Hey, there!”

*Clang clang clang!*

Klaus cheerfully strikes the rocky walls. Thanks to the automatic resource collection, he has already gathered a hands-full of Magic Light Stones (Large).

Believe it or not… he managed to collect nearly 200 Magic Light Stones (Large) in less than an hour.

“Since I’m here, I want Magic Light Stones (Extra Large) too. But, I’ve never found (Extra Large) stones before.”

Since he used to frequent the mine in the past, Magic Light Stones ranged from (Small) to (Large) in the mining options.

This also included the ones he encountered in his daily life.

However, he had never come across (Extra Large) stones before, so that’s what he’s searching for now…

“I can’t believe I’d hit a vein all of a sudden… Well, maybe I can expect to find some (Extra Large) stones too.”

With ‘Automatic Resource Collection’ set to (Large), Klaus quickly and automatically mined the vein.

By the time he noticed, the area around him was filled with ores, and he was busy digging out the vein right in front of him.

Moreover, he didn’t seem particularly tired.

In other words, he must have located and mined the vein in an instant without any wasted digging.

The massive vein in front of him sparkled brightly, and (Small) and (Medium) ores, along with nuggets, fell out in abundance.

And finally────!

“There it is!!”

With a heavy thud, a Magic Light Stone of an Extra Large class rolled out from the end of the swung pickaxe!

“It’s huge! And there are so many…! There was a large vein this close?”

The stones that rolled out were (Extra Large) × 5 and (Extra Extra Large) × 1.

Why do you ask how I know the sizes?

Well, you see────.

*Vroooom…*

It seems like I unlocked the achievements for Magic Light Stone (Large) and beyond.

Until just now, these options weren’t listed within the items, so what I mined just now must indeed be (Extra Large) and (Extremely Large).

“…But still, I realize I’ve been handling various things in my daily life. Dragon Bone, for instance, I only touched it back during my training when I interacted with a high-ranking adventurer’s sword.”

Looking back, I should have explored more…

Mithril, Orichalcum, and so on…

“Oh, I can try experimenting with them once I get back!”

Even if you don’t buy anything, just trying on or touching the items might unlock achievements as if you have interacted with them before.

By doing so, it might become possible to mine Mithril or Orichalcum… maybe.

“Well, it probably won’t be that easy.”

I find it hard to believe that there are places where low-level adventurers can easily go mining for Mithril or Orichalcum.

However, it wouldn’t hurt to unlock achievements in anticipation of the future.

“As for things like Magic Iron and Spirit Light Stones, I wonder where I touched them? I don’t remember, but it’s nice to have them as achievements.”

Well, leaving that aside…

Since I’ve achieved the quota,

“Now, let’s verify, shall we?”

With a snap of his fingers, Klaus called up the status screen.

He was going to apply what he had tested in the ‘Valley of Lamentation.’

It’s not very likely to have the same luck as back then when Mandragoras were readily available, though…

“It’s worth a try, isn’t it?… So, here we go.”

Vroom…

Status screen activated—Confirmation of ‘Automatic Resource Collection’!

“…Here as well, there should be minerals with extremely short collection times in this mine. Although I highly doubt there will be ‘Gold Ore’ here, but…”

※ ※

“Resource to be collected: Buoyancy Stone”

⇒ Time required for collection: “229:14:26”

※ ※

“Yeah… well, that makes sense.”

Rare minerals wouldn’t be found in low-level dungeons, after all.

Alright then,

“Let’s try the next one!”

※ ※

“Resource to be collected: Iron”

⇒ Time required for collection: “00:00:10”

※ ※

“…Wait, this… it’s a discarded knife!!”

Oh no.

It seems like I need to specify the quantity and type properly; otherwise, it reacts to equipment items that have been discarded nearby.

It doesn’t seem to respond to things I or others are currently holding, thankfully…

※ ※

“Resources to be collected: Copper × 100”

⇒ Time required for collection: “12:23:22”

※ ※

“Resources to be collected: Silver × 100”

⇒ Time required for collection: “58:48:15”

※ ※

“Resources to be collected: Gold × 100”

⇒ Time required for collection: “94:51:09”

※ ※

“Hmm… none of these are looking good. Judging by the time, it seems to be pointing towards state-owned mines or something.”

Well

It’s just a test after all.

I mean, the dwarves have thoroughly investigated everything, so it’s hard to believe there are undiscovered minerals lying around. But there’s still some… value in trying.

※ ※

“Resource to be collected: Magic Iron”

⇒ Time required for collection: “23:15:22”

※ ※

“Is it no good… Maybe I should adjust the quantity more precisely? I’ve heard that you can’t find gold ore concentrated in one place like this.”

It seems like the Dusk Mine can only yield “Spirit Light Stones.”

The remaining ore is just Spirit Light Stones, which are originally mutant-type ores found in places like underground tombs, not in regular mines…

Vroom…

※ ※

“Resource to be collected: Spirit Light Stone”

⇒ Time required for collection: “00:34:55”

※ ※

────Huh?

“……N-No way.”

T-There it is…

I found Spirit Light Stones.

“I-Is this for real…?!”

A remarkably rare mineral among rare minerals, the Spirit Light Stone.

Similar to the Magic Light Stone, it emits a faint light, even weaker than the Magic Light Stone, earning its name for its delicate, ghost-like glow.

However, its properties are extremely unique; it has the ability to store magical energy.

As for the collection location… it’s mainly found in dungeon-converted tombs and the like.

It’s said that it can be occasionally found in regular mines, but the quantity is scarce, and the quality is poor.

Therefore, Spirit Light Stones produced in dungeons are considered the finest…

“─And it’s here of all places?”

Spirit Light Stones are harvested in graveyards.

Due to the specific location where they are found, some mineralogists speculate that it’s not just a natural mutation; they believe that human souls might have transformed and resided within the Magic Light Stones, leading to this unique mineral formation.

But at this rate…

“This isn’t a graveyard. If it can be found in a place like this, maybe the inside of Spirit Light Stones isn’t really souls after all. Perhaps the theory of the regular transformation of Magic Light Stones is more accurate?”

It’s undeniable that it’s a transformation of Magic Light Stones, so it might be possible to find them wherever Magic Light Stones can be found.

However, the intense radiance of Magic Light Stones, or rather, the assertiveness of their mining quantity, makes their discovery incredibly difficult… That seems to be the more accurate explanation, don’t you think?

“So, unless you use ‘Automatic Resource Collection,’ you probably won’t be able to discover it in a mine where Magic Light Stones are this abundant.”

There’s a possibility that Spirit Light Stones, emitting only a faint light, were discarded as worthless stones.

…Alright, let’s give it a try!

“Now, as for the presence of monsters… Ah, there it is.”

There it is.

Judging by the fact that it’s staying still, it’s undoubtedly the “Cave Spider,” which is abundant in this mine.

It wouldn’t be fun to walk into a spider’s web during automatic movement… Let’s clear out the visible area first.

With that in mind, Klaus drew his dagger for the first time since entering the dungeon.

“Don’t take it the wrong way—this is also for the sake of verification.”

“Gyaaah?!”

Cave Spiders, usually docile monsters that build webs and occasionally wander around, feeding on mice and bats.

They were eradicated for Klaus’s verification purposes.

“Gyaaaaaaaaah?!”
