It feels very weird to see the word “subhuman” being used in this context. Yuki doesn’t consider them to be “below humans” (literal meaning of the word) and the other countries also feel that way. Is this because the Kingdom used the word or is it a quirk of something else?

I’m going back to finish off Chapter 33 now, I had to come back and re-read where they found her because at 2:30 am, it felt weird that she was an elf described as a “stray cat” (but I understand the phrasing and intent after re-reading deliberately).
