Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 6: The one who leads the Black Knights

Licia is going home with Sarah to do some shopping.

The Imperial Academy doesn’t forbid stopovers or shopping and eating. Naturally, there would be some repercussions if they did something that would compromise the integrity of the academy, but the two of them don’t need to worry about that.

This is one of the reasons why Ren had visited Verlich’s workshop in the blacksmith district by himself in the evening.

“The next thing I’m going to do is make armor for Ren’s physical growth.”

Verlich has been making armor with Asval’s horn for some time.

Ren would occasionally visit him to talk about it.

“I’m sorry that making your armor has been postponed.”

“I don’t mind. I mean, I’m the one who asked you to give priority to repairing the magic ship Lemuria. Besides, you said so yourself, Verlich-san.”

“Oh? What?”

“You’re in the middle of looking for monster materials for the next piece of armor, right?”

“Well, I’m not sure. But I’ve been talking to that Ulysses brat, and he’s just about to get some.”

“Does that mean you’ll be able to start working on it when you get it?”

“That’s right. I’ll do my best not to lose to the Flame King’s gauntlet for the amount of time I made you wait. I’m asking you to look forward to the armor I’m making. Let’s go to the gardens and repair Lemuria!”

Verlich slapped a bicep that looked like it was the size of a child’s head with his other hand and gave a hearty smile.

“Are you going to start repair at this time? It’s almost nightfall!”

“I’ve got new parts coming in. It’s a man’s mind to want to see something new as soon as possible.”

“I understand.”

Ren immediately nodded and left the workshop with Verlich.

Verlich locked the door to the workshop and started walking with a big step, letting out a sigh of relief.

Ren followed behind him.

“Well, how’s the academy?”

“It’s just normal. I always feel like I’m having a normal class.”

“What’s more, don’t you have anything more like a student-story to talk about?”

“On the contrary, what did you expect to hear?”

“For example, how about a class on swordsmanship?”

“Well, it seems like it’s just about to start.”

There were a few classes that hadn’t yet started right after entering the academy, and the swordsmanship class was one of them.

The reason is that new students have a surprisingly large number of things to do.

“Hmm… but I feel like you shouldn’t participate Ren.”

“Huh? Why not?”

“It’s useless. You and your special class have no problem if you perform well in the exam, so it would be better to skip it and study on your own for another class.”

For Ren, who is constantly honing his skills by wielding a sword at the Lion’s Sacred Office, he can say that the swordsmanship classes are not going to help him learn anything.

The same goes for Licia, of course.

“It’s better if you’re on the teaching side.”

“No…. teaching is difficult enough as it is. what about you, Verlich-san? What would you do if your country asked you to teach your skills to young people?”

“Gah-ha-ha! It’s impossible and useless! There is no way I can teach people things!”

“I don’t know what would actually happen, but I’m similar.”

However, Ren has a caring personality. He couldn’t say that it was impossible for him to be on the teaching side.

However, since he’s a student, that wouldn’t be the case.

Suddenly, Verlich-san looked up at the sky and said

“That’s right, it’s coming up soon.”

He suddenly changed the subject.

“Have you heard that the army is coming back from the Martell continent?”

“No, not at all. I have never heard of an expedition of Leomel’s army to the continent of Martell.”

The continent of Martell is located right next to the continent of Elfen.

The size of the continent is smaller than the Elfen continent, and many of the countries on the continent are small compared to the Elfen continent’s.

Since there was no opportunity to go there during the game era, players could only obtain this information. However, since Ren came to this world, he has had several opportunities to obtain other information, including studying for exams.

The percentage of languages spoken, the percentage of races, and many other things.

“So why was Leomel’s army sent?”

“A humanitarian aid group sent by the Holy Land to the continent of Martell was caught in the middle of a conflict in their base of operations. The Holy Land asked Leomel for reinforcements, so Leomel dispatched his army to show his gratitude to the Holy Land and the Silver Palace of Nodias, the main precinct of the Holy Land.”

“Oh and how long were they there?”

“They were there for a little while before you moved here. About a year and ten months. The strength they sent out was in the dozens, maybe a platoon.”

“That’s the size of the force that was dispatched?”

One might wonder what they would be doing by dispatching that many people to a war zone.

However, after hearing the following words, Ren nodded his head as if it were a matter of course.

“And since they’re all elite members of the Holy Lion’s Sanctuary, they’ll be doing a bit of a show of force as well.”

(—- is good enough!)

“And they were led by the chief of the Holy Lion’s Sanctuary.  The reason why their term of office was so long is because they not only worked in the conflict areas, but also negotiated with other countries.”

Hearing the words “Chief” Ren’s eyebrows wagged for a moment.

“Even if there were circumstances, a person of that stature has been out of the country for nearly two years.”

“Hmm… now that you mention it, it’s true.”

If it were an important war, it would be understandable, but it doesn’t seem to be so.

It is possible that there was something hidden that led to the long-term deployment, but Ren, who had just heard the story, couldn’t imagine anything.

—-Whether it is or not, it’s an interesting story.

“I mean, you seems to know a lot more about her.”

“Yes, I’ve heard the name and rumors of her strength for some time.”

That’s just knowledge from my gaming days, and it’s just a memory I’m trying hard to recall that has faded as I live my life as Ren.

What is clear is that the chief is an incredibly powerful person.

Ren thinks back as he walks with Verlich.

—-The chief of the Holy Office of the Lion, Estelle Osloes Drake.

The most powerful knight in Leomel with the two names “Death Eater”. Since the Sword King is not in the position of a knight, she is effectively treated as the pinnacle.

She first appeared in the game after the end of Legend of the Seven Heroes I.

Chronologically speaking, the story takes place in the winter of the protagonists’ first year. If we were to translate this into Ren’s current situation, it would be the winter of this year.

Although all of the descendants of the Seven Heroes appear in I, the younger generation, which hasn’t yet entered the school, doesn’t join the party. This is the time when the main characters and those who are one generation older than the main characters were in a party.

After clearing the main storyline, the main focus of the game was to digest the sub-events, raise the level to the maximum, and search for items to see if there were any other things that were overlooked.

The event is triggered by completing all the sub-stories in Legend of the Seven Heroes I.

After school, I went to the dean’s office and heard her voice from inside.

“I’m about to go. I’ve been summoned by His Majesty.”

“See you soon, Estelle.”

The person who appeared from the dean’s office was Estelle.

I knew from the voice that the person she was talking with was Klonoa, but this was the first time he had heard of Estelle’s presence.

There was no particular conversation, as Estelle took one look at the protagonists and immediately left.

At the end of the event, the player obtains the achievement “Descendant of the Hero,” and Legend of the Seven Heroes I is truly complete.

Her next appearance comes in Legend of the Seven Heroes II.

After the Ren Ashton riot broke out, she began to follow the demon cult and Ren Ashton separately from the main character’s party, and there were frequent events where she met and talked with them.

She was neither an enemy nor an ally, but her strength in the setting was tremendous.

The players were hoping that her power would be revealed in Legend of the Seven Heroes III.

“Ren, what’s the matter with your sudden thought?”

“I’m sorry. I was just wondering what kind of person she is.”

“Oh, I knew it. Hmmm… Ren, would you like to meet with Estelle san…?”

“It’s a lot of things that bother me, but I don’t think she’s an easy person to meet in the first place.—-? Verlich-san, you’ve been saying “san” several times since a while ago, haven’t you?”

“Estelle-san is a client of mine. She will come to me as soon as she returns, and even if she doesn’t, we can meet at the Holy Lion’s Sanctuary.”

Ren was taken aback by this story, and then nodded his head in agreement.

Verlich’s skill goes without saying. It was no wonder that the director of the holy lion sanctuary was among the clients of this master craftsman.

“Well, if you meet her, make sure you say hello properly.”

“Yes, I will.”

Verlich let out a sigh of relief at the ten or so seconds of silence that came after the end of one conversation.

He then looks at the blacksmith district with a cynical eye and says.

“The blacksmith district will probably start to bustle again. It’s always like that around the time of the Lion King Festival.”

“I thought the Lion King Festival management prepared the weapons and armor for the festival.”

“That’s true, but we have visitors. There are many famous blacksmiths in the imperial capital.”

Verlich points to a street lined with blacksmith shops, some of which are among the best in the area. There were still students as before, and many nobles and other wealthy people were also to be seen. People who look like foreigners seem to be mixed in.

“The busy places are increasing the number of products for the guests coming for the Lion King’s Festival. I wonder how hard they are working!”

“I guess it must be a good time to make money. But Verlich-san, you don’t like working.”

“Ha-ha-ha! You’re getting to know me too, Ren! You’re good! I’ll give you the cooking knife I made last time! I tried to forge it, but come to think of it, I don’t cook for myself!”

“Thank you very much. I’m sure the chef will be pleased.”

“Oh! If you want to sharpen it, bring it to me!”

A few days later, the head chef of the Clausel family received the knife and was surprised at how exquisite it was.

◇ ◇ ◇ ◇

At night, a magic ship was sailing to Leomel, as if swimming in the sky.

On the way, several magic ships anchor in the air, and people come and go by connecting a special ramp.

“We have been waiting for you!“

“Welcome back! From here onward, you are in our Leomel airspace!”

A tall woman was approached by a number of swordsmen.

She was as tall as they were, although many of the men around Ren who weren’t here were taller. Her hair was very long, almost reaching her waist. Her voluminous scarlet hair exuded elegance.

The woman’s well-developed face is impregnated with a strength that cannot be described in words, and an awesomeness that is unique to the use of a hard sword.

She is Estelle Osroes Drake, the chief of the Holy Lion’s Sanctuary.

The knights of the Lion’s Sanctuary, seeing her for the first time in a long time, gasped at the power of her appearance.

“Thank you for welcoming me. I see that all of you are now on your way to the continent of Martell.”

Estelle is dressed beautifully in her jet-black military uniform, which is so long that it almost touches the floor.

The night wind blowing in the high sky makes her uniform sway like wings.
