Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 4: "Silhasta" (Albert's Perspective)

"Fimia? Is it true?"

I am shaken by the sudden report.

"Yes. Last night, she submitted a withdrawal request for 'Silhasta' citing 'differences in the direction of activities.' An emissary from the guild came to confirm the situation a while ago. I requested them to stop it, but if nothing changes, it will be accepted."

"Where is Fimia?"

"It seems she left town. We are currently confirming her whereabouts."

With Saran's matter-of-fact responses, I felt a slight frustration and held my head in my hands.

Why did things become so troublesome?

It was supposed to go smoothly, exactly as planned...

"Why is this becoming such a troublesome matter? Everything was going smoothly... It was supposed to be going according to plan."

"If both heavenly break strike Jurg and Saint Fimia withdraw, Silhasta's national selection party qualification may disappear."

"Don't be ridiculous!"

"It's already affecting our activities, and maintaining achievements will be difficult, won't it?"

"Don't talk about it as if it's someone else's problem, Saran."

Hearing my words, Saran pushes up his glasses.

"Albert, I did give you advice. I told you not to do anything unnecessary."

"That...! But, that guy, Rolo Mercia, made advances on Fimia, didn't he?"

"Regarding matters of love, isn't everyone free to make their own choices?"

Saran tilted his head slightly, and I sighed dramatically in response.

This man, pretending to be smart, really doesn't understand anything. Fimia should be in love with me.

And then that country bumpkin, Rolo Mercia, butted in. He took advantage of Fimia's kindness, approached her, and tried to ruin our relationship. Even though I had expelled him from the party to keep him away, why did it turn out like this?

"Anyway, find someone to search for Fimia's whereabouts for me."

"Understood."

"And recruit additional personnel."

"Alright. But they won't be at the same level as heavenly break strike will they?"

"I know!"

I waved Saran away with my hand, and as he left, I stared at the closed door, letting out another sigh. Recently, I've been sighing too much.

Unexpected and, moreover, unpleasant events have been happening one after another.

And finally, when things were getting here...

"Damn it..."

If Rolo Mercia's expulsion was the root of the problem, what should I have done differently? What's so good about that flimsy, unremarkable guy? We don't need someone like him in Silhasta, a national selection party. His combat abilities are low, and his magic is nothing special. The only thing he's good at is efficiently handling miscellaneous tasks, but that's not a quality necessary for a national selection party.

Jurg is the same. Same hometown? Such sentimental nonsense. A professional adventurer should prioritize competence. Lives and honor are at stake. The partner to entrust your life to should be someone with significant abilities.

However, losing the brand of "Heavenly break Strike" hurts a bit. I don't know what's good about it, but it was certainly popular. It will undoubtedly affect Silhasta's future.

"Ugh, there's no use thinking about it."

Muttering to myself, I leaned back against the chair. I need to prioritize and solve these issues. It's unsettling to leave everything to Saran, and I should check the town for any information about Fimia's whereabouts.

Regarding Jurg, once I confirm his location, I can offer him a rejoining proposal. According to some gossip, he committed a crime in his hometown and has no place to return to.

Maybe he went to another town to avoid the awkwardness of meeting me or Saran. However, tracking him down should be easy. So, the first thing to tackle is Fimia.

I need to make it known that her withdrawal was a mistake and that Silhasta is still active. Any misunderstandings can be resolved by sitting down and talking. If it's about us, her misapprehensions will clear up if we share a bed.

In my arms, Fimia sleeping must be beautiful. I have to cherish her a lot!

As I entertained such thoughts, the door was opened without a knock.

"Albert!"

"What's the matter, Saran?"

"I've found out where Fimia went."

Indeed, he's competent.

A Staff Officer must be like this.

"It seems she asked the attendant of the shared carriage about the way to 'Malhas.'"

"...That man again, Rolo Mercia!"

Malhas is Rolo Mercia's hometown. He probably said something to deceive Fimia before he departed. Fimia is pure, so she must have believed him wholeheartedly.

Or maybe she went to bring back Rolo Mercia. Certainly, if she sincerely asks me to, I am willing to reconsider Rolo Mercia's expulsion. I still think he's unnecessary for Silhasta, but if Fimia insists, I might allow him as a handyman.

Of course, I have no intention of involving Fimia in any way.

"All right, let's chase after her immediately."

"Shall I go with you?"

"Of course!"

After a brief pause, Saran nodded.

"I understand. Then, I’ll prepare."

"Yes!"

“...”

Though he seemed to let out a sigh as he left, he was originally a person who often spoke his mind. There's no use worrying about it.

More importantly, it's about Fimia.

I need to catch up to her immediately and discuss our situation and future. It's unbearable to remain misunderstood because of Rolo Mercia.

She should also want to reconcile with me.

Even though we care for each other, being separated over such a trivial matter is not good.

Alright!"

Wearing travel attire, I forcefully open the door.

I need to hurry; the sun is about to set. We must depart immediately.

  1. At least Saran sounds like a good guy. He’s probably an intellectual type from the looks of it and Albert probably had delusions of Rolo and Fimia (and nothing probably happened).
