Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 76: Teaching the Idiotic Prince a Lesson

The smoke curtain conjured by magic enveloped the classroom of Class D.

Caught off guard by the sudden turn of events, the perpetrator of the incident, the third prince Rodel, shouted.

“What’s going on?”

“S-Smoke all of a sudden…!?”

“Is it an enemy!?”

The little henchman, whose name Rest didn’t even know, raised an alarmed voice, while the burly man, Dora, remained vigilant, holding onto the hand of the female student.

Amidst the chaos of the three parties, Rest crouched low and swiftly moved through the smoke curtain.

[Life Search], [Material Search]

He used magic to sharpen his senses. Even with his vision sealed by magic, he could understand what was where inside the classroom as if it were in the palm of his hand. Just like a bat sensing its surroundings with ultrasonic waves.

“Hah!”

“Guah!?”

A high kick launched from a low posture. The blow, almost coming from directly below, lifted Dora’s chin, causing his massive frame to slightly elevate. Despite his imposing stature, Dora seemed to lack significant combat experience.

“Oh…”

The hand of the grabbed female student was released. She looked bewildered by the smoke and looked around in a fluster.

“Crouch down on the floor and protect your head. Stay close to the men.”

“You are…”

“Never mind that, hurry!”

Whispering to the female student, she hurriedly crouched beside her fallen lover. With one arm shielding her head as she lay prone, she clung to her man, casting healing magic on him.

“Though I know not who you are, I absolutely cannot forgive such insolence directed at me!”

Rodel yelled angrily, aiming his right hand forward, apparently about to cast a spell toward the faint voices he heard.

[Bind]

“Hie!?”

Rest further activated his magic. Ropes of mana extended, binding the little henchman and pulling him closer.

[Fire Bolt Cannon]

“Gyaaaaaaah!?”

Intense flames erupted from Rodel’s hand. The body of the shielded little henchman was engulfed in fire, screams echoing.

“That voice… Could it be… Tony!?”

Rodel exclaimed in surprise. Apparently, the little henchman’s name was Tony.

“…Guh, eh…”

Tony let out a puff of smoke and fell to the ground. Since causing a death within the school grounds was out of the question, Rest had already cast healing magic on him.

“Damn it… Who are you!? Do you dare to oppose me, Prince Rodel Iwood!?”

Rodel shouted toward the smoke curtain created by the smoke. Honestly, Rest didn’t care who this man was.

(I have no intention of respecting someone who can only use their power and magic talent to oppress the weak…!)

From within the smoke, Rest thrust his fist at Rodel’s face.

“Guha!”

Rest’s fist struck Rodel’s face. Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, Rest tripped him and brought him down, then pinned him face-down.

“This… blur…”

[Lightning Palm]

The insolent fool… was probably about to shout something.

Remaining in the position of pinning him down, Rest unleashed an electric shock.

With crackling sounds akin to being hit with a stun gun, Rodel’s body jerked a few times and then became still.

(Though it might seem like the world would be better off if I just killed him…)

I understand that would be a bad move.

Even though I can justify this as subduing an act of violence, going further would be problematic.

(As much of idiot prince of the century may be, killing a member of the royal family is a problem… It seems I narrowly avoided a disaster.)

Even the Rosemary Marquis family might face troubles because of this.

Rest quietly opened the classroom window and leaped outside.

As the wind blew into the classroom, the magic smoke curtain was blown away.

Let’s leave the rest to the faculty… Rest made sure not to be seen by anyone as much as possible and left the scene.
