Chapter 18: Artifact

“Oh come on, now you're with a dwarf?　Useless otherworlders and lowly dwarves. They're a perfect match for each other. Ha-ha-ha-ha."

I'm currently with Kukuto-san. I want to handle this peacefully without causing any trouble. Maybe I can gather some information while playing it coy.

"Um... I heard that you guys are an amazing party. We want to make being like you our goal, so could you tell us the rank of your party?"

"You want us to be your goal? You guys are definitely out of your league! Well, I'll tell you our rank. It's C-rank. Our party's name is 'Spirit Hunters'."

"We'll also strive for C-rank. Thank you, and excuse us."

With that, we headed towards the Adventurers' Guild.

We could hear their laughter from behind us, but we ignored it.

"Kukuto-san, I apologize for earlier. We'll make them regret their words someday. Please wait a little longer."

Marle lifted the white cloth that was placed on the table.

There, a blue cat-shaped robot stuffed animal was revealed.

I told them that if Kukuto-san and Marle-san knew about our skills, they would be able to create even better things. I also expressed our desire for their continued cooperation in the future.

"I won't tell anyone either,  desu. I promise, desu.

I nodded and handed Mia the cat-shaped robot stuffed animal and asked her to use the 'deformation' skill.

Mia held the stuffed animal with both hands, closed her eyes, and concentrated as if she was praying.

A faint light enveloped the stuffed animal. Then Mia smiled at me.

Mia took out a reinforced stone from her waist pouch and tried to put it into the pocket of the stuffed animal.

Then, the reinforced stone, which was clearly larger than the pocket, vanished as if it were sucked in.

I demonstrated by putting the tea and the enhancement stone from the table into the pocket of the stuffed animal. Then, I took them out again.

Kukuto-san and Marle-san screamed.

I asked Kukuto-san for permission and picked up a nearby shortsword.
