Chapter 107: Representative Round Day 3, Morning

"Winner! Sofia Adolfo!"

""Waaaa!""

Sophie defeated the dwarves. Now we have three wins and one loss. The spearhead, Sarona, lost, but after that it was three wins in a row. Shana and Sophie's victories were so dominant that I didn't even have a moment to worry about the dwarven foreign student.

"And now, captains! Please enter!"

"Zero-niisama! Please do your best!

"Good luck!"

"Good luck."

"Okay, I'm off."

And I went up to the stage.

"Honestly, I have no reason to fight, but..."

"Ahaha..."

I think the dwarves are studying abroad to learn how to make weapons and magic tools. So I guess they actually don't have any reason to participate in the inter-school war.

"Let me see if you're a Lord worthy of my weapons, shall I?"

"I hope I reach your standards."

We exchanged a few words, and then both raised our weapons. I looked at Gladden's hammer and couldn't find anything different from the hammer I'd been using. But I'll be on the lookout.

"Now! Captains! Match begin!

"Lightning enchantment, ice enchantment."

As soon as the announcement was made, I double enchanted and headed towards Gladden. The reason I chose to use ice enchantment is because I want to increase my attack power, but I also want to increase my defense power. This is also what Sophie told me.

"Hmph!"

Don!

When Gladden swung his hammer down, an explosion occurred. I'm not sure if it's the weapon's ability or Gladden's ability, but I knew he was going to use explosions. But if this is all he's got, I don't think I'll lose this time because unlike the survival battle, we don't have Becua.

Boom!

Slash!

Boom!

Slash!

Don't!

Slash!

When he swung the hammer and it hit the ground, he stopped moving for a moment, so I slashed with each swing of the hammer.

Is there nothing special about the hammer's ability? Just when I was starting to think that, something surprising happened.

"Hmph!"

"Huh?"

He split the hammer in two. I was surprised to see that the weapon he was fighting with suddenly became two. But is it just a matter of two hammers? I panicked at first, but soon became calm.

"So... you're not fazed by this... then!"

He then swung the two hammers. I jumped backwards, trying to get some distance from him since Sophie said there might be something there.

"It's useless!"

"What the hell?"

A rope-like object made of earth appeared from the hammer. And it was trying to catch me, so I dodged it and got more distance.

"Oh, shit! Automatic tracking!"

But no matter how hard I tried to escape, it kept chasing me continually. It's not moving fast, but it's annoying that it keeps following me around. The stage was almost covered with earthen ropes, and they were getting in the way, so I decided to cut them down.

“What?”

“It's no use!”

I tried to cut it, but the rope was squishy and bent so I couldn't cut it. Seriously, what is this thing?

"Waterball."

"Waterball."

"Waterball."

"Waterball."

"Waterball."

"What are you doing... wha!"

"Roar! Thunderburst!"

I flooded the entire stage with water and then dropped a huge thunderbolt from above that covered the entire stage in lightning. Of course, I can also absorb the lightning magic I cast, so I consume only half the magic power.

By the way, the water balls are to prevent Gladden from escaping the lightning since he's able to control this strange rope-like thing. If the rope is that squishy, it would be impossible to cover himself totally. So, if it's even a little wet, the lightning will work. If I can't cut it, I don't need to cut it, right?

"ga baba baba!!"

However, unlike what I had assumed, the strange rope seemed to only automatically track me and was impossible to manipulate that easily.

"Ga...ga...ba..."

"Thunder Arrow."

"Gaha..."

I managed to finish off Gladden, who remained on the stage, with magic from a distance, even though he was burnt to a crisp. I didn't want to get too close and get hit by that hammer.

"Winner! Zeros Adolfo!"

"Waa!"

"And now for the morning session of Day 3! Winner! The Kingdom of Lingalia!

“"Woooo!"”

I should have won outright, just like Shana and Sophie did. I can't win against Becua if I'm struggling so much even with Sophie's countermeasures.

And in the afternoon, we could see the match between Becua and Elilia. I'll be able to learn a lot from her, such as whether her magic works on Becua or not.
