Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 357: Discussion on the execution date.

After Tauro and his group finished their lunch, they returned to the adventurer’s guild and completed the quest, surprising the receptionist.

They had completed four times their quota for the cockatrice subjugation, which takes a whole day.

they also dismantled and stored the poison and the parts to be collected in advance, which the client wanted.

The chicken crown, which is the part that proves the defeat, was also neatly dismantled.

The work is so meticulous that  it would make the guild’s demolition workers cry, but it is well received.

“──Yes, then I have also confirmed that the pass permit tags have been returned. Thank you for your hard work. I’m sure the client will be pleased with your careful work. I will recommend you all to clients as well.”

The receptionist replied with a smile.

“Ah, please don’t mention our names, okay? We don’t know what kind of person the client is, so it’s a bit strange for our name to be known unilaterally…”

 Tauro answered honestly.

If it was as I imagined, the client would be someone associated with the assassination guild or a feudal lord.

As might be expected, it is highly likely that they have heard of the name “Black Golden Wings”.

Since it is an adventurers’ guild, I don’t think the personal information of adventurers will be leaked to the client, but in the meantime, I refused to tell them, just to keep them quiet.

“I’m sorry, ……. That’s true. …… Actually, the client is a very influential person in this city and a good customer, so I just ……”

The receptionist probably didn’t mean any harm either.

However, the Adventurers’ Guild is only as good as the clients it serves, and the receptionist wanted to appeal to the large clients so that they would continue to use the Adventurers’ Guild.

“I understand your concern. If another quest comes in, I will consider it.”

Tauro had such a positive attitude,  but he gently refrained from speaking and left the adventurer’s guild.

“If he’s an influential person in this town…there’s a high possibility that he’s associated.”

Ankh said this without naming any specific names.

“I don’t want to get caught in the quagmire right now until we get all the specifics. Well, we only need a few days.”

Tauro replied, and since it was still early afternoon, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his former father, Sauk, and explore the capital to see if there were any assassination guild facilities in the city.

“Tauro-dono, that big building is the Hitter trading Company, which is a purveyor to the lord.”

After checking from a distance the large building where Sauk had left his trace, Malak informed Tauro of the information he had obtained from a passerby.

“There’s no reason for him to be involved with such a large trading company, so it must be a trading company disguised as an assassination guild. I think we should include this place in our list of targets.”

Tauro answered in a roundabout way.

“…… Oh, dear. This town is really turning into a cesspool of evil. The employee cleaning at front of the building is no amateur. It’s a good thing I didn’t go near there, because it looks like they’re checking out the passersby.”

Ankh blurted out to Tauro, checking out the trading company from a distance.

“Reeva-senpai’s abilities are amazing! I never thought you could confirm footprints this far!”

Ragune is impressed by the skills of the senior dragon person.

“Hehehe. But it’s a risk, so I can seldom use it, you know? At the moment I’m focusing my efforts on this one thing only, so I won’t be able to participate in the subjugation, unfortunately.”

Reeva replied, wiping the sweat off her face, probably due to the high level of magic power she was consuming.

“If this happens, it’s going to be on such a large scale that it will be difficult to hunt the remnants of the smaller ones. I think we need to discuss this and the other issues with the capture group that’s on standby.”

After Tauro told everyone that, he continued to check for Sau’s footprints until nightfall.

 That night──

Tauro and his group met the Assassin Guild subjugation team waiting in the city of Caxart.

“──So, we believe that the whole area of the capital has become a den of the assassination guilds.”

Tauro finished explaining the situation to all the members of the strike team.

There were 50 people in the group.

“I think it’s a little small for the scale of the operation,” said Tauro, who felt a bit uneasy.

“…I see. In that case, there will be 15 people in the feudal lord’s mansion. 5 people will go to the Hitter trading Company. The rest of us will raid 10 places with 3 men each.”

A hero of the dragon tribe with great heroic skills, who was the most powerful member of this strike Team and who had joined from the former capture group, easily divided the personnel on the map and showed it to them.

“Eh? Isn’t that too few?”

Tauro questioned the division of personnel below the platoon level.

“Malak, Zumei, and Reeva’s information-gathering abilities are the best among the Dragon People. In the royal capital, it took time because of the enemy’s cautiousness, but this time the three of them were able to show their true potential in a short time because the enemy was being caught off guard by the fact that the opponent was in their own territory. If we have not misjudged the enemy’s strength, we should be able to overwhelm them with these numbers. The problem is the lord’s mansion. As Malak reported earlier, the mansion is covered with wards, so we have almost no information about the inside, and since we do not know what level of people from other dragon tribes are inside, we decided to increase the number to 15 people. I think it’s reasonable to take into account the time it takes for our allies to come to our aid.”

The great hero answered politely in response to Tauro’s concern.

“…Just in case, can we join in as well? Malak-san and others are here too, so I think we’ll be a force to be reckoned with.”

“…Hmm. It would certainly be helpful if Tauro-dono and the others joined as a force. It would be helpful if Malak and his team could use their abilities in the rear to hunt down those who escape.”

The great hero appraised Tauro and the others, nodded, and gave his permission.

“So when will the operation take place?”

 Tauro confirmed the execution date.

“I think three days from now, on the day of the new moon, would be a good date. Until then, I would appreciate it if you and the others would continue to obtain information. We don’t know what will happen until the end, so please be careful.”

Tauro and his friends nodded at the great hero’s plan, and used Tauro and Ragune’s abilities to quietly return to the inn in lord Bomen’s capital.
