Chapter 357: Additional Orders Coming In

"Is Brother Alex coming with us as well?"

"Of course. I need to see the magic tools that Rosalia made."

"Are you sure it's okay with your work?"

"Ahaha, it's fine to take a little break every now and then."

If Brother Alex says it's fine, I suppose it must be. He doesn't seem to be in bad health, and I don't think he's pushing himself too hard.

So, with Brother Alex joining us as a new companion, we arrived at the shop where the installation was going to take place.

Mira eagerly munched on the dried fruits. The tiny Mira was adorable. It wasn’t just me who thought so—Fabienne was also giving dried fruits to Mira and smiling with the corners of her eyes raised.

"Let me see… Hmm, no problems. As expected from Rosalia."

"It was installed so quickly."

Brother Alex praised Rosalia as he checked the door. When he let go of the door, it automatically closed, and the nearby employees widened their eyes in surprise.

"This is amazing. It really closes on its own. No more forgetting to close the door."

"I think it should work that way. Oh, if you open it to this angle, it won’t close, so if you want to leave it open, please leave it like that."

"I see, that’s well thought out."

The door has a mechanism that automatically locks when opened wide. Since it’s not usually opened that far, it should be useful when loading and unloading things.

It seems Brother Alex liked it too, and like everyone else, he repeatedly opened and closed the door. Then he suddenly turned his face toward me.

"Both of you, if possible, I'd like to install this in other places as well. Could you make some more?"

"That’s fine, but how many would you need?"

Big Brother carefully counted on his fingers. It seems there are several doors in the Heine Trading Company and the shop that are often left open. That must mean there’s a lot of back-and-forth by the employees. Perhaps it's busier than I thought.

"I think I want five in total."

"Understood. I'll make them along with Rosalia."

"Leave it to us!"

Rosalia is full of energy. She seems happy to be relied upon. Seeing the bustling atmosphere of the Heine Trading Company, she must feel excited to be a part of it. I can understand that feeling.

At that moment, it seemed Big Brother finally noticed Mira, who was in my chest pocket.

"Julius, is that… is that Mira in your pocket?"

"Oh, you noticed? Mira really wanted to come with us, so I had them shrink down. What do you think? This way, I thought it would be less likely to cause a commotion."

“That’s true. No one seems to have noticed, and as long as they don’t fly around or make noise, it should be fine.”

Hearing that, Mira covered their mouth with their front paws. It was such a cute gesture that I couldn’t help but pat them. I wasn’t the only one—Fabienne also patted them. It was a somewhat strange sight.

While this was happening, Rosalia came to me, asking if she could hold Mira too, so I moved Mira to the pouch Rosalia was carrying.

This should be fine. To anyone else, it just looks like Rosalia is holding a small stuffed animal.

Afterward, we toured the shop together with Big Brother, and finally, I showed Rosalia the workshop in the back.

Rosalia was excited the whole time as she observed the workshop. When we make things in the workshop, it's usually just me, Rosalia, and Lelie, so seeing so many people creating different types of things must have been a new experience for Rosalia.

It’s likely that she will want to make something here herself one day.

On the way back in the carriage, Rosalia asked me.

"Big Brother, aren't you going to install a door-closing mechanism in the mansion?"

"I don't think it's necessary in the mansion. After all, even if we leave doors open, the servants will close them, right?"

It seems Rosalia wanted to install door-closing mechanisms all over the mansion. While I think she could do it if she wanted to, I imagine she might get bored after making the same thing over and over again.

What Rosalia needs moving forward is the ability to develop new products. It would be great if she could learn from seeing various things and experiencing inconveniences, using those to create new magic tools.
