Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 189: I Want to Go Home, But I Can’t

Soon after that, I returned to the townhouse and immediately wrote a letter to Miss Fabienne. Of course I wrote about how to make the magic potion, but that alone wouldn’t be enough. That would just make me a scumbag who was just using her.

First of all, I must write that Lady Chloe’s fiancée has been decided. Then I must write that I congratulate her on that. By doing so, I will show to the outside world that I don’t care about Lady Chloe.

Then I should write that I have made a new male friend. I’ll also mention that the icehouse in the royal capital was terrible. Since I’m planning to improve it, if her place needs it, I’ll  make the same one when you return to her territory, so she’ll be more likely to ask for it.

Oops, I almost forgot. I should tell her to send the magic potions she makes to the margrave Heine family, since we’re responsible for selling it. Then I need to report to father as well. This is a lot to write a letter about.

“It’s going to take a lot of energy.”

“Brother, don’t make fun of me. I’m very serious.”

Brother Alex is looking at me smiling while saying, “Sorry, sorry. Is your work finished?”

It’s true I’m serious. Because if I make a mistake, I have to start all over again. I need correction fluid.

"I just received a letter from your father. It seems that the cold hasn't spread in the capital yet, but he said that it's only a matter of time. If we prepare now, we'll be ready in plenty of time."

“What will happen in the other territories?”

“…… I think it will spread eventually.”

Hmm, is it good that only Margrave Heine's territory is given preferential treatment? I know it’s not very nice, but I'm the developer. If people want an easy-to-take cold remedy, I guess they have no choice but to buy it from the Margrave Heine's territory. Should we make cold medicine a specialty product. No, I'd like to make magic potions a specialty. Let's think about the future.

“Brother, shouldn’t we also teach the guild of magic potions in the territorial capital how to make magic potions for colds and lung diseases?’”

“The cold remedy might be good, but the other one might have to wait a little longer. It’s a previously unknown magic potion, isn’t it? We might confuse them by misusing them.”

“Indeed.”

It’s possible. Magical potions that are effective against lung diseases hurt the lungs a little as a side effect. But if it builds up, it could lead to permanent loss of some of the lung function.

We need someone to teach people how to use magic potions. Right now we don’t have that system in place yet.

“Then we will have to let Miss Fabienne do her best for a while.…Brother, can’t we go back to the territorial capital?”

“Have you taught them how to make the Panacea ?”

“No, I’m still working on it.”

My brother ponders for a while. That's right, I haven't finished the work His Majesty the King asked me to do yet. Besides, it's not like the epidemic is spreading in the territorial capital yet. There's no reason for me to go home.

“Julius, don’t be so down. As soon as it starts spreading in the capital, I will send you back to the capital. Until then, I want you to concentrate on the request given to you.”

“I understand. Thank you very much.”

It’s okay, I took assurances from my brother. I’ll just do what I have to do here in the royal capital. I will write in my letter to Miss Fabienne that “ I’ll be back as soon as the cold starts to spread in the capital.’’ Then she would be able to take care of things with peace of mind.

The next day, I went to the castle as planned. In addition, Brother Cain did not come home yesterday. Instead, We received a letter saying that the both of them would come together to thank me. It was completely decided now.

Congratulations, Brother Cain. I’m happy to have a cute sister-in-law, too. Daniela-sama is royalty, so it’s a little hard for her to be spoiled. I’m going to go easy on my sister-in-law, Meeka. Those breasts are outrageous.

“We’ve been waiting for you, Julius-sensei!”

“Yes, what is it?”

When I arrived at the Royal Magic Potion Division’s station, I was attacked by everyone. What on earth is going on?

Upon hearing what they had to say, it seemed that His Majesty the King had instructed them to hurry up and make a magic potion that would be effective against lung disease.

I see, I get the gist. Brother Alex must have sent a letter to Daniela-sama about the magic potion yesterday. It must have been sent as an urgent letter.

On the same day, Daniela-sama sent the letter to His Majesty the King. The instructions were immediately sent to the royal potion masters. But no one knew how to make the magic potion. That’s why they were waiting for me.

“Do you have the poisonous moth scales I asked you for yesterday? That will be the material for the magic potion.”

"We are making preparations, but since this is a material that has rarely been used in the past, we don't have much of it."

“I asked my brother to secure it for me at the Adventurers’ Guild. We should have enough in a while. I will teach you how to make It, so let’s make it with the materials we already have.”

The members of the Royal Palace Magic Potion  Division nodded their heads with serious expressions. Before I knew it, it seems that I really am the head of this place. I wonder if Giovanni-sama thinks nothing of that.

I glanced at him out of curiosity and saw him looking at me with a twinkle in his eye. Those eyes aren’t eyes of jealousy. Those eyes look like they’re worshiping God. I feel like I’ve become a guru. This is a problem.

As expected, there wasn't enough for everyone. Still, I think I was able to teach them somehow by putting them in pairs. Additionally, I was able to give them the experience of making a magic potion by working together. This will be a great asset.

The panacea that I am going to teach them is difficult to make alone because it takes time to make. I can use my “laboratory” skills to shorten the time required to make it, but others cannot do so. The only way is to make it the right way.

In that case, what is needed is a collaborative process of taking turns to make a single potion. It is better to combine people of equal capabilities  if possible. This way, it is possible to produce a magic potion of a certain quality.

To do that, I have to carefully assess the abilities of everyone here. This collaboration was a good opportunity to do that. Of course, I teamed up those I thought were close to each other. The results seem to be good.

I thought there would be no problem, since the morale of the royal court magician-pharmacists was high to begin with. I’m glad I was able to confirm that.

“Look at this, Julius-sensei! Don’t you think it’s of good quality?”

“Yes, it’s wonderful. It’s as good as the one I made. Even people who are sick will be happy to drink this.”

Everyone is smiling at the finished pink magic potion. It seems that during this period of time, they have gained a solid understanding of what real magic potions are like.
