Chapter 162 Continued: Children of the Nobility

　We drank tea and snacked on sweets. Yes, the sweets served to me seemed to be of the highest quality. A moderate sweetness spread in my mouth. It seems that the sweets are made with strawberry jam. I felt it soaked into my tired body.

“is that you, Julius-sama?”

　When I turned around at the voice, I found Caro there. Near her were three girls around the same age as her. I thought they were Caro’s cronies, but I guessed they were probably Chloe’s fellow cronies. One of them was blushing when she saw me. It’s a sin to be so good-looking, isn’t it?

“Good day to you, Miss Carolina. I see you have been to the castle.”

“Yes. I come to the castle every day. I heard that you will be coming to the castle from today. I never expected to meet you here."

“My goodness.”

　She spoke with a nonchalant expression on her face, but I think she knew we were in the area. Chloe must have told her where we were going after lunch.

"I'm going to have tea with Chloe-sama now. There are a few other people joining us as well. Would you like to join us, Julius-sama?"

“I’d love to, but I’d rather not. I have to go back to the townhouse and prepare for work tomorrow.”

"Really? That's a shame."

　Of course, this was a lie. No one told me to bring anything. Of course, I plan to bring a white coat with me when I go to the Royal Magic Potions Division, but that preparation was no big deal either. I simply didn’t want to go.
