Chapter 146: Miracle in the Hot Springs Resort

　The turtle is opening its mouth in front of me. Are you hungry?　Just kidding. It looks like it’s confused by the magic potion I brought.

　Without hesitation, I quickly offered it to the spirit of the lake who was in the form of a turtle.

“I have successfully completed it. This is the ‘Advanced Magic power recovery Potion’ that will continuously restore lost magic power.”

“…… Really?”

“Seriously.”

　The turtle’s throat bobbed up and down at the sight of the reddish-brown magic potion in front of him. He must have swallowed his spit.

　For my part, I don’t care if the turtle drinks it or not. If he didn’t drink, he was free to do so. I have done my duty. If I still have the advanced magic recovery potion in my hand, that’s a good thing.

　The turtle stares at the magic potion. He is lost.

"...I'll take it. I'm still the guardian of this area. I can't just step down from that role."

　Terrified, the turtle drank the magic potion. he took a sip and made a face like “ew,” then closed his eyes and drank it all at once.

“They say good medicine tastes bitter. It’s proof that it works.”

　Well, most magic potions in this world are just bad. It’s not my fault. The spirit of the lake, having finished drinking, looks around its body.

“There doesn’t seem to be any particular change?”

“I see. I think that may be so. Then I shall return to the lake.”

　And so the turtle was carried by a knight back to the lake where it had come from. I did a good thing. Maybe one day I will be able to take a dip in the hot springs here while I’m still alive. But let’s not get our hopes up too high.

“Julius, it’s time for dinner. Let’s go to the dining room.”

“Okay.”

　After that, I had dinner with my brother and spent some time relaxing in the baths at the inn.

　The next day, I woke up to a crisp morning sunrise. I slept well because I had consumed a large amount of magic power yesterday using the “Laboratory” skill. I felt refreshed.

“Brother, are we leaving tomorrow?”

“Then let’s do that.”

"What's going on? Did something happen?"

“Well, I heard that last night the hot springs that had been drying up suddenly started flowing again…”

　I looked at brother Cain. I only have an idea. The spirit of the lake had been revived. As expected of an advanced magic recovery potion. It’s much faster than the beginner’s magic recovery potion!

“I guess now we can go to the hot springs!”

“Yes!”

　Once we were all warmed up, we headed for the lake as if we had just remembered.

　The lake is crystal clear. It seems that this is the original state of the lake. This must have been the view that brother Cain wanted to show me. I enjoyed it.

　One of the knights let out a voice of surprise. That led me to look in that direction. From that direction, a bipedal creature with a strong green body and a turtle shell on its back was walking towards us. What is that thing...?
